Not right now. I'm too depressed about McGregor. Thanks though.

It’s not like he’s pulled a ligament he took a knock to the face hopefully no fracture and capable of playing

If we lost against alloa purely because mcgregor wasnt playing then we need to reevaluate everything we are working towards and doing.

Hes the player who will play the most games over the course of a season and has averaged 45-50 games each year for the past 6. Quickly becoming the whole thing that we had with Brown in that he couldn't be dropped even for games like that.

He should be rested in games like that tonight, particularly with a massive game on Wednesday and a season defining (potentially) Derby in about 10 days.

We've brought in 3 new midfielders this window and have 3 who can already play his position. What's the point in having a squad if not to use it in games like that tonight.

Just baffling tbh. Won't be convinced otherwise.

    I feel like we should..

    This isn't short term..

It's a position that's key to how we play
    Our captain
We don't have another 6 like him

    Scunnered me to be honest..

    Disaster tbh.

A few days ago and our squad was looking in good shape. Now we're without McGregor and Kyogo for * knows how long. Turnbull out for a month still. Rogic and Maeda missing the next 3 games which are crucial for our season.

It's not just the fact that O'Riley and Hatate now need to hit the ground running for us, but we have very little in terms of back up for them now for the next few games.

3 in Ideguchi who is defensive O’Riley couldn’t play hatate on bench Rogic played if he wasn’t called up would people be moaning he played.

Bitton and Ideguchi both similar players midfield would be unbalanced no real drive or tempo if McGregor wasn’t in there too slow with McCarthy etc.

You can’t expect to change 9 or 10 and have a * given right to win the game he could of got injured in the warm up could of got injured first 2 minutes against hearts who’s to say he wouldn’t have?

Whos saying to change 9 or 10? I literally haven't said that once.

I'm talking about resting our captain and IMO most important player against a side battling relegation in league 1 ahead of a game away to an in form hearts side and Rangers, with Dundee United sandwiched in-between.

I don't see why that is such a mad idea. Particularly when our manager has consistently banged on about wanting more players to rotate the squad. He has them now.

I feel your pain mate, im * disgusted.

Puts a new perspective on the huns game, but on the season as a whole.

For me we defo need to go into the market for a similar player, * we have our work cut out tbh.

Playing with 2 CDMs that’s not how we play from the start no balance in midfield with 2 CDMs. With Turnbull out He probably thought he had to play him for a bit more box to box and creatively for the tempo of the game

well he had already made 5 changes if McGregor doesn’t play it’s at least 6 changes. Maybe he was only planning on playing him for 45 and got injured before he took him off?

Only second game back after a break playing him to maybe get him fully back upto speed and tempo etc, he clearly had his reasons to play him

Hes taking some risks in games that we dont need to.

European dead rubbers, game against a team that cant win in their league.

Injuries are nearly as frightening as us trying to defend.

    Tbf it was against Alloa.

A midfield of Bitton, Ideguchi and Rogic would have been more than capable of getting the game won.

Aye I thought we were settled in the middle. Now we're needing to get someone in for me.....hopefully get a couple out like Soro and whoever, and that eases the process..

Good point at the end there. We're needing the new boy's to no just do us a turn, but dig deep now and be asked to play the 90's and consecutively for a period when they likely wouldn't have at the start of the day..

May halt what work we were doing elsewhere at left back and a forward position as well..
