Yeah starting to get a little worried others are bound to look at how well Kyogo has done with us and think. Worth a look over there and see Maeda as a top scorer.

I see the team who have ties to Brighton in Belgium are on the verge of signing Machida from Kashima Antlers and a few other teams in Belgium further down the league particularly STVV sign a fair few Asian players.

Hopefully this is all but done and is announced during this coming week. I feel we need five minimum and even then I would want at least 2 or 3 of them to be able to cover a couple of position like Maeda LW or ST.

I feel we need two midfielders and three forwards who can cover the four forward positions of Rogic, Jota, Kyogo and someone to claim the right wing spot for themselves, unless Maeda does so on the left and Jota plays right.

Ideally I would like a Left back (basically left sided Juranovic) too but can’t see us signing one. Two midfielders in the box to box mould one more attacking one defensive, a winger preferably a left footer as we don’t have one just now for the wings, a playmaker type winger/10 and a Striker.

 

Part in bold, we already have 3 left backs at the club, Scales will do at the moment.

Plus Juranovic will fill in when needed.

We need to sell Boli and Taylor before I see us spending at Left back

 

Medical passed apparently,other 2 Japanese targets arriving tomorrow.Ideal if true,2-3 weeks trading into them before season kicks off again.

 

That’s why I said ideally but like you I don’t see us buying one. We will surely be trying to punt Boli this window, whether he goes or not. Ange clearly rates Taylor so he won’t sell him.

But then we only have Taylor and Scales to play there. Juranovic can play there but we want him right back. Montgomery looks miles of it. The one young player I would be keen to see there soon is Matthew Anderson who is meant to be a real talent.

Always anticipating wer the ball will land everyone else is frozen in time for that moment, if kyogo misses anything flashed across he ain't, will lower our shots to goals ratio by quite a bit hopefully.

 

The pace in this team will be frightening, just have to learn how to break these park the bus teams

 

Honestly, it’s not a position we need to strengthen at all right now or even ideally.

we are lacking all over the part bar that position.

Even if we sell Boli we still have Scales, Taylor, Monty and Juranovic.

Im all for giving youth a chance and that’s what Ange will also be doing so if we have another great prospect coming through I can’t see us going for a left back for some time

 

Would love to see him pressing and harrying the opposition, giving Kyogo more freedom to float about and do his thing.

He looks like he might occasionally lack in the technical department but he is gonna cause allsorts of problem's for team's..

Open up and he'll destroy you on the counter, defence has the ball deep and he'll petrify them with his pressing speed..

Scores the types of goals that we don't score. A lot of scruffy types, and 6 yard types latching on to with a nick of the toe or head. Just his speed alone forcing loads of them and in before the defender or keeper has even reacted..

Have to agree to disagree on this one we certainly have numbers at left back but Greg Taylor is the benchmark in terms of quality which is sorely lacking.

You could make the same argument for centre midfield with Mcgrgeor, Turnbull, Rogic, Bitton, Soro, McCarthy, Shaw and Henderson but a good few of them are miles off it.

I would go as far to say in terms of first 11 with everyone fit (never happening I know) left back and a box to box midfielder would be the two positions where a good player would make a big improvement to the side.

I do agree we are short squad wise across the park though probably apart from right back where Ralston and Juranovic have both had good seasons so far.
