Jota - Welcome Home!

Discussion in 'Celtic Chat' started by Luis1967, Aug 31, 2021.

  1. Aye he looked like he thought it was cramp, got up and tried to stretch it and then realised it deffo was a tweak..

I'm guessing that it isn't too bad going by that but I could be wrong..

    Hopefully only a couple week's..

Pray to whatever * you worship that it was precautionary and he’s back for the weekend.

  3. Been carrying the team a bit, could be a struggle with him out especially if Ralson is as well and we end up with Montgomery and Johnston on the left who both look like they have no confidence.

  4. will probably be a couple of weeks , rather than 6.

No chance he makes the weekend or the Motherwell game, but hopefully he's back for Ross County away.

  6. * our lack of depth is killing us. This better be nothing or we're *. That lefthand side is weak.

Kyogo will move left and the big Greek will get a game up top. We're significantly weaker.

  7. I would be beyond shocked if he made Sunday. Johnstone getting the start there Sunday is a decent replacement and we do need to use the squad this month at times with all these games. I would leave him out for the Betis game too given its meaningless now and let Johnstone start that one too and then maybe Jota is ok to return at the weekend after Betis after having close to 10 days to recover.

I’d rather Abada or Montgomery or Kyogo and play Ajeti through the middle or even you play left wing before MJ currently.

  10. Well we will have to agree to disagree on that one. I have no problem with Johnstone starting on the left Sunday assuming Jota is not fit to start.

It's a worry that we rely so heavily on him.

Every great team always has a reliance on 1, 2 or 3 talents.

  13. Aye in our case McGregor, Kyogo and Jota are absolutely key

Very true, but no good when said player is only on loan at the club..

  15. That is fair. Even the best teams always have 2-3 players that are the ones that turn them form good into special teams. No question Jota is one of those players for us this season.

  16. True but in fairness to the club the price is already agreed. So it is not like a loan deal with no possibility of it being made into long term contract with us.

We need to get the bid in, I can see clubs from more lucrative leagues coming in for him based on his European Performances alone.

  18. Well the price is already done so there is no bid that needs to be put in. It will all come down to the player and whether he wants to stay and sign a long term deal himself which hopefully he will.

  19. Will be missed while he is out but if we cant win our league games (hun aside)without him then we really are in bad shape.

  20. We said the same about Kyogo and Rogic...
