I just hope he sees that moving here he'll be adored like nowhere else in his career, it'll be an experience like no other.

My fear is that the kind of step to a better league (Southampton, Lyon, Leverkusen etc) that he'd achieve here, he could already make based on this season.

Jota has been settling into life at Celtic Park very well since signing a season-long loan deal from Benfica in the summer.

With eight goals scored so far and five of those coming in his last five games, the Portuguese winger has become a key man in Ange Postecoglou side and a fans’ favourite with the Celtic faithful.

So, we thought it was only right for this year’s Christmas edition of the Celtic View that we would put your questions to him, as we discussed everything from best moments in the Hoops, trying Irn-Bru and worst tastes in music in the dressing room.

How are you settling into life in Scotland and do you feel part of the Celtic squad? - @RBhoy67
It’s been a great few months and I’m really happy to be here. I think I’m settling right now and my team-mates help me a lot – everyone at the club has. Right now, we are just in competitions playing games all the time and I think that’s what we want, but everything is good right now in Glasgow.

I did travel through Glasgow in the first few weeks as we weren’t playing because it was an international break, so I had the opportunity to go on the red bus through the city. I visited some museums as well as some restaurants because the hotel I was staying in was in the middle of the city, so I had the chance to go on an adventure every day to see what Glasgow could bring me. It’s a nice city that’s developing, I like it.

Now, these are the big questions that the fans want to know and we had a lot on this subject. How do you get so much volume in that hair? - @berryhoopter
I guess it’s genetics because my father is the same! He keeps saying to me that it’s a family thing. During the game, we sweat a lot and that gives me the volume in my hair.

I don’t actually pay attention to the haircut. It’s really easy, I wake up in the morning and 50 seconds later it’s done because it’s already arranged. People often say to me that I must be in the mirror for like five minutes and stuff, but I don’t.

Have you tried any Scottish delicacies yet and in particular have you tried Irn-Bru? - @Ryanclifford11
    Jota:
Irn-Bru, what is that? Is it food?

    View: No, it’s a drink?

Jota: Is it alcohol, I don’t drink alcohol?

View: I thought you would say you haven’t tried it so I brought you some.

Jota: What is this? Oh, it’s gassy, that’s a turn-off. That’s not for me. I’m sorry guys. I’m a very simple guy I just stick with water. But this is a famous thing in Scotland?

View: Yeah, you’ve just insulted the whole of Scotland saying you don’t like that.

    Jota: I’m sorry guys!

Loved the bit about his hair. There's no way he manages to keep that style while playing football without maximum hair products but, then again, what would I know

Hope it's just a niggle. Hopefully the fact he sat on the bench for rest of game is good sign

He looked like he was walking around in at the end. Hopefully a precaution.

He looked like he tweaked it rather than a full on hamstring strain.

But no idea, I’ve never been so nervous to have an injury update.
