All about timing innit - if United have been sniffing about he should (and in fairness knowing him would have been) all over it like a rash.

Within a matter of weeks you go from flavour of the month to an unwanted dud.

Who the * do Leicester fans think they are?:56:

This will be around the time he starts to suck the life out the full club.

  5. Hah * him and their fans.

They were warned 2 times before us and they still have the idiocy to not believe that he is mediocre in his 2nd/3rd season and does * all about it

  6. He’s probably checked out to be honest.

As much as he’s a rat etc. I think United or Arsenal would be the perfect jobs for him right now.

He would get United into the top 4 and set the stage for someone else to come in like Klopp did with Liverpool.

Leicester will become complete nobodies again soon.

I think Leicester are just waiting for Man United to come for him. Even if he got sacked I think he could get another job with one of the dregs down at the bottom

  8. Overall he has a done a good job at Leicester. 2 5th place finishes and an FA cup, they would have bit your hand off for that before he took over. Been poor this season but a few wins could see them back up the league and opinions from their fans would change again. Would be a good appointment for Man U for a couple of seasons and probably bring some level of success in cup competitions

I can't see him taking one of those low-level gigs.

And tbf why would he? His CV is far better than the usual merry-go-round losers that always seem to be in contention for those jobs: Steve Bruce, Mark Hughes, Alan Pardew, Sam Alardyce etc.

Rodgers is a top 6 manager in the EPL.

  11. Rodgers would improve Man United drastically, for a couple of years at least anyway.

  12. They won a cup and finished 5th in the last 12 months, that's good for where Leicester should be and not the worst form, imo

  13. Newcastle fans (and most other team's fans out with the big 5) would bite your hand off for that

  14. Papers saying United are making a move.

It would be a good match IMO. He’ll get them within shooting distance of the title and set the stage for them to get back on top.

  16. English fans at club level forget where their club was and where it is now - Man City fans for example, diddy club up until the Arab money and they can't fill their stadium on a European night

They must surely know that things with Rodgers take a dive in the 3rd year by now, but maybe they only need a steady 2 years.

They have so far hit it all wrong so many times, they need someone able to steady things and build a backroom team that is focused on building a club identity and football philosphy again.
Too often it's been someone who is a hurricane and a one man show(Jose, Gaal ), or someone not remotely up to the task (Ole, Moyes). Rodgers would make some sense, but they would need to make sure he doesn't do what he has done at Celtic, then Leicester, which is to build his OWN team, then take it all away again when he leaves.
