Would give us some serious options in attack, Jota, Maeda, Johnston, Kyogo, Giakoumakis, Forrest, Abada and Dembele (if he signs new deal when fit) that’s a lot of attacking talent.

Add a couple of good energetic CM’s one who use tenacious and one whose got a good passing range and we would be in an excellent squad position potentially a standout starting left back.

 

Sign all of the Japanese players, imo.

 

Really hope this is done soon.

 

There must be a Japanese left back (plenty in Europe) in that league that could come into our squad!

 

He's not right-footed- the highlights show him using both feet, the left slightly more. I could see the logic in signing him to be a cover-all forward: left wing, centre, right wing.

That quick he makes Kyogo look like Ajeti..

One thing I don't thinks been mentioned is how strong he looks for a wee guy. Low centre of gravity and ability to go both way's, but in quite a few of those clips he isn't outmuscled at all. Rides the challenges well also..

A potential front 3 of him Kyogo and Jota....my word..

Jaysus, I'd buy him for his workrate alone looking at that. I'd love to see the team become pressing monsters and it feels like that's what Ange is building to, had a few goals recently come from winning the ball back high up the pitch, a few more lads with pace and workrate and we'll have teams knackered before halftime

 

Ange comments today and the smirk make me think this is a goer is this the guy he wanted in summer too but said it was too difficult I wonder

 

Reo Hatate stands out for me can play Left Back and Central Midfield. With us playing inverted full backs he seems the obvious choice.

 

ANGE POSTECOGLOU has refused to be drawn on reports linking Celtic with a January move for Yokohama F. Marinos striker Daizen Maeda, but admits that he will look to exploit his advantage in the Japanese market.

The Celtic manager has previously confirmed that the J-League is a market of interest in the winter transfer window, though he says that he will also be casting his net elsewhere too.

And while he wouldn’t confirm or deny that Maeda was a target, he says that he will be looking to bring in ‘a couple of players at least’.




“We’re going early on being linked with players,” Postecoglou said. “There’s two months before now and January.

“I said a couple of weeks ago that we are now working towards January and we’ll definitely need to bolster the squad then. I’ve got now doubt about that. It will be nothing major but we’ll need to bring in a couple of players at least.

“We’re not going to be in any rush about that mainly for two reasons. One is that, we’ve just brought in 12 players and there are four or five others who are literally just beginning their Celtic careers having been at this club.


“I want to see how all these players settle in and see what gaps we really have because the assessment we make now might be different in two months’ time. So we’re not going to be rushing into any business too early.



Secondly, I’m not going to limit ourselves. Obviously I know the Japanese league really well and I know Japanese players. So I guess that’s where I have an advantage over others, but we’re not going to limit ourselves to one part of the world.
