Leverkusen lost 4 goals in six minutes.. we couldn't even score 1 in 90 mins

 

This, especially in Europe is something that we really need to be working on.

Set pieces are the one thing that can be 100% practiced at to improve, while crossing from open play or from deadball situations, both in the delivery or in getting on the end of them... neither really seem to be utilized/capitalized on anywhere near often enough.

 

As big Sutton said, a kicks a kick and a headbutts a headbutt, the force doesn’t really matter

 

Maybe would should try going through the middle.

We have done okay but every time it's the same, out to the wing, try to cross, for the most part hit the first man and move breaks down.
It's fine going down the wing but we are so predictable with it, mix it up a bit and give them something else to think about.

 

I think we should stick to short corners as a rule- it was a sensible decision by Ange to introduce them. We have one aerial threat (Ralston), and one guy doesn't justify crossing set pieces into the box.

 

Think wee kyogo has been really poor the last couple of games

 

Doing alright is not a very high standard.

This is europa not CL. We are at home and need a win. It's not like Ferencvaros are top seeds.

We need more from our players

 

Most controlled we have been in Europe. Some comments here ffs. We're gonna win with a clean sheet.

This is frustrating to watch. I hope Feranvacos decide to play a little and come out of their shell

 

Don't think Turnbull has enough guile for Europe. Looks so stiff and slow when turning on the ball

 

Take abada off ffs, id go as far as sayin throw ajeti and giakoumakis on.

We are controlling the ball reasonably comfortably and not really been under too much pressure in defence, if not with too much joy in pentrating, but Ferencvaros sounds as though are pretty compact and comfortable without them really looking to press us.

Ralston and Montgomery didn't really add much going forward and Abada likewise not done much in the first half, which has not really allowed Kyogo to get into the game enough. Jota and Rogic have been doing some nice things and a few chances are being created but again Ferencvaros seem content to bide their time.

 

Terrifies me that this is our only real midfield option for another 15-20 games minimum.

2 of the 3 struggle to play 90 minutes but we'll be starting them for 20 games in about 3 months.

Ange needs to find a way to get other midfielders starting.
