Was LW not one of the positions either Ange mentioned he wanted to strengthen or it may even have been Stephen McGowan from the Mail said it was RB, CB, Holding Midfield and Left Wing. Since then we look like signing Juranovic at RB, McCarthy at Holding midfield, Scales is being lined up but questions where he will play and is he first choice level? Other than Lovric we were only linked with Edwards on a free that’s gone elsewhere.

I think Ange wants to punt Barkas, Boli, Ajeti and if an offer comes Edouard, which would then mean another striker is needed.

 

I sincerely hope so.

Yeah we should definitely be looking to strengthen our left wing position. It's been a week position for a while. Mikey Johnson could maybe do something but he is a bit injury prone now and we need other options. Lovric looks the part but I'm still not 100% if this is genuine or paper talk.

 

Can only see this happening if Christie goes tbh

 

Totally agree I think what we could have on the right would be great you have either Abada or Forrest start play an hour and if they have emptied the tank, sub for the other to come on fresh and attack tired legs. In Ange’s high demand system this would prevent burnout and mean we could have high intensity for the full game.

I think if we can keep Christie and bring in Lovric or a first team left winger we could do the same on that side of the pitch. Keep Kyogo through the middle.

I know Johnston and Dembele are both injured just now but could always be the back up to the first choice front two. It is annoying both are out as I think they could thrive in this ultra attacking system.

 

Christie isn't a left winger although he's been doing a good job in that role..

Lovric is a natural there and would replace his goals but he doesn't replace his energy and stamina..

We'd need someone in Central midfield still (Christie's best position as an 8) to replace that. McCann possibly would be ideal..

 

Lovric would be the icing on our cake.

 

And then a quality lb CB would be the party candles.

 

Absolutely no reason why we can’t get him in either. Dom hasn’t had the greatest of starts but one thing he has done well is get rid of the deadwood whilst bringing in substantial/decent fees at the same time.

If he sold Eddy, got Griffiths, Boli, Bitton and Ajeti off the books, we could still see another 3 attacking players come in. Say £15m for Eddy, £3m for the other 3 and use Griffiths in a player plus cash deal for Nisbett.

Juranovic- £2.5m
Scales-£500k

That’s only £12.5m. Throw in a decent signing on fee for Christie and contract and you would still be what? £3m or £4m in profit from this season?!

I still think we need rid of Barkas and Hazard but they’re not going to go, or I can’t see it. Even then, we could still get some fee.

A front 3 of Lovric, Kyogo and Abada and we will legit score 5 goals a game.
