I will take a loan at this stage tbh, ive been impressed with recruitment this summer so far so have a little faith that this will be a good move.

19, in a club that has similar contracts with a bunch of other youngsters, without a clear path to the first team. If this loan ends up being a mere loan, we lose and he does, too.

 

If he’s coming in as cover for a Juranovic or other first choice option to arrive soon, there’s no problem at all with it being a loan.

If he’s the only right-back coming in, I’d take him on loan over just having Ralston, but it smacks of short-termism if there isn’t a buy clause.

Plenty don't make it at City but still go on to have top careers..

Hopefully it's taking a long time because it's a two year loan.

I could just about stomach that.

 

They bought him young with potential not good enough for City yet so few loan spells not a hope they sell him

 

City paid £5m for him as a 17y/o. The amount doubles if he plays 5 competitive games for them over the course of his contract (5 years). Its an odd clause and one I dare say city will never need to pay out on.

His loan fees throughout his contract will cover his initial transfer and most if not all his wages. City don't lose anything and if he's good they sell him on for further profit, if he's really good he plays for them and saves them forking out on a first team player.

If we take this kid & pay a big loan fee and his wage we are further feeding this City carve up of football.

Let's just go out and get our own guy. We will never sign this guy long term and it's smarter to pay for a guy like the Croat RB now than face the same dilemma next season.

 

Ah well, Ange has done pretty well so far so we'll wait and see.

Was thinking that myself. I'd say that's bullshit, maybe just a salty jurno in Poland but there is no way that we don't have funds. More than likely we are loaning in certain areas so that we put money I to other areas for long-term strengthening.

 

99% of these ITK's are just reading between the lines and passing it off as insider knowledge. If a RB is at our game it suggests the other deal is off (if it was ever on). If that RB also happens to be a loan signing then you say we couldn't afford a transfer fee.

 

The board wouldn't release the funds, most likely.
