Aye I was/am fine with a key loan signing (not a Duffy). But as @HTG states, we got the money from Frimpong and Elhamed as well. No excuses all that can not be reinvested to sort the backline once and for all.

Defo, he seems to be starting from the back too..

As you said we are sorted in midfield I reckon, hope he gives Luca and the new kid from Sheffield Wednesday a chance..

    Upfront needs serious surgery..

Forgot we sold Hendry recently too for around £1.8 million, so add that on to the fees we got for Frimpong and Elhamed and that comes to around £11 million banked in total.

Once this boy comes in we need to be right back out there for another 2/3 players, by then we should also have sold Christie and one of Ajer/Edouard so money shouldn't be an issue this summer.

We also sold Klimala for £3.5m in April. Absolutely no excuses why we can’t buy before selling.

If we get this guy over the line in the next day or two, no excuses for him not being ready for the CL game (assuming he comes without an injury).

If we are smart and fast, we should be able to get more in within the next week and again, have these guys up to relative speed for the CL game.

The quarantine that’s the problem. The guy needs to self isolate for 10 days when he enters the country so you’re talking getting him into the country mid week, then 10 days quarantine, then he has to do his medical. You’re already talking 2 weeks before he’s even training with us.

    *, forgot that one.

Although still baffles me how they have different rules depending on the circumstance.

We can travel to Europe as a club, come back and go play Motherwell in the space of 4 days - but one player can't come in, declare 2 negative tests and just get on with it - considering they are all in "bubbles" anyway.

100%. £9m from Frimpong, £3.5m from Klimala, £1.2m from Elhammed, £1.8m from Hendry. £15.5m made from player sales since January, without even considering the wages we have saved from the loan boys, broony leaving and the sales of the deadwood out on loan at the moment (Bayo, Boli, Shved) and you can just see this sort the deal falling apart because we “couldn’t get it over the line”

More places will no doubt be put on the green list but it’s unlikely that will be anytime soon.

Mental when you see it tallied up.
Add in Ajer fee (here hoping at least the ten million) and we should honestly be looking to spend the £25 million directly on the first team.

What ever we get from Edouard the club can pocket to cover the crisis, invest in staff, youth, whatever they deem worthy.

Surely little to no excuse not to see something like that amount spent on the first team squad.

    We won't though.

I’ve said before, the club could easily make upwards of £45m from sales this window. They don’t need to spend it all either. They should be spending at least 2/3s of that minimum. Dermot should put his hands in his pockets as well for one season only and throw in some extra quid for being a smug *.

Croatian media (especially Sportske novosti / Jutarnji) are very unreliable. No news today. Next week, maybe even Monday we will know something.

Mario Vušković is getting closer to Celtic, judging by the fact that the Scottish club is in a hurry to enter the new season and renew the team, new coach Ange Postecoglu, a Greek-Australian former footballer and expert who is now at the club from Glasgow, is pushing.

However, Hajduk, ie Lukša Jakobušić, wants to trade wisely, as the still wise Benedikt Kotruljević, a famous citizen of Dubrovnik from the 15th century, did, there is a monument to him in front of Privredna banka, in Zagreb across from the Sheraton.

Joke aside, but Hajduk would really nod and raise the price.

The Scots took a good bite

In the house of the "whites" it is considered: if someone gave two, then three, then it came to four, five, let it be six with all the (im) possible bonuses, and what could not be more?

How realistic is that? And let’s not always underestimate our own product, if demand is substantial, why not grow into a yagma?

However, Celtic took a bite and this leads us to think that the job could be completed before we even think about it.

It is said that Mario Vušković is preparing exclusively in Slovenia, concentrating exclusively on Hajduk and the new season.

Yes, of course and no doubt, until someone tells him it’s over, pack up.

There is another indiscretion, not only that negotiations between Celtic and Hajduk are ongoing, but also that Vušković would fare much better at Celtic than Torino offered him until he withdrew.

Celtic offers Vušković up to 700,000 euros (gross) per year, while in Turin the figure was much lower, around 300,000 euros.

These are conditions that must intrigue a young player who knows he is in the window, so now he is measuring where he would do better. Celtic seems like a good destination.

    Hard negotiator Jakobušić

Feyenoord and Basel were mentioned earlier, not only Torino, but now we are focused on Celtic and the fact that The Scottish Sun broke Postecoglu's wishes that one of the cornerstones of the new rise of the "white-greens" be a young Croatian national team player from Split.

Hajduk wants to stand firm, they have a valuable exhibit in their hand that many want, and how long it will take to keep it up for auction or they will give up in a few days, announce a good job, we have to wait.

    * Dermot if he was a real Celtic supporter would have got a decent manager in after Rogers left with the nine million compensation we got and also spent a extra 15 million on players to secure the ten but no he doesn't give a * anymore and everything is on the cheap now .
