Appreciate the praise and approval from the Australian contingent on here but nevertheless this will be a 100% underwhelming appointment. It is exactly like Lennon when we were linked to all kinds of big names and then we get * on with Lennon. This would feel the same but possibly even worse since no one has heard of this guy. He may have backing from some ex-players and Aussie fans on here but the thing is he looks very very very average on paper. 55 year old, NEVER had a decent job (and No, I do not consider the Australia NT a success as anyone would qualify for a World Cup with them) and doesn’t even have the UEFA coaching badges.

We were all expecting a major and monumental appointment after possibly our worst season ever and if we appoint this guy then it would be penny pinching at its best and would looks very much like a panic appointment.

Could they be so clueless to appoint a "NO! man"? I doubt it, and thus, I won't believe Postecoglou is appointed until/if it's official.

 

If he is appointed and Kennedy is his No. 2 then we will know he is a Yes man

 

i have a little Dejavu,,,, look im not in anyway comparing Celtic To Huddersfield as CFC is massive in comparison and the supporters are off the charts passionate about them.... however i remember getting on their forums when a guy named Aaron Mooy signed for them and it was a similar response to what the Celtic supporters are saying now- an unknown aussie who has no European experience, A-league is *, yada yada yada you get my drift basically not fuckn good enough for our club!!! well im pretty sure most supporters there have him in the best all time Huddersfield team. Maybe just dont judge Ange because he is an auzzie with no European experience, im telling you guys this guy is an absolute life student of football and you will be pleasantly surprised.

We have decent qaulity players if we ignore how lennon had them play, as much as we have hate for them all now, those same players have been part of history making qaudtreble. That gives me slight hope. Someone who can set a team up would improve them massively vs punt up top from keeper and hope a ball goals in the net, let the players do there thing with no plan lennon style.

I'm atleast hoping he's a mad *. I can't stand another manager with arms folded, win loose or drawing.
