Watching the Scottish Cup final and all this talk of Doig, Nesbitt and McCann, on the basis of their performances in this game I want none of them.

Doig has been beat most times someone has ran at him and offered very little going forward, he hardly ever gets forward. Nesbitt you wouldn’t know he was playing and McCann has done nothing to speak about, all be it St Johnstone were mainly just sitting in.

As for Porteous, he looks like an accident waiting to happen. I would stay well clear.

Just reading that Boavista are apparently looking for €10m for Alberth Elis after one season having signed him for about €1m. Porto are now meant to be interested.

I know we won’t sign everyone we are interested in but for me he was a no brainer, available cheap, scoring goals and assisting regularly, strong and quick.

He would have been a great option of the right or as a two up top. Especially given we had a bid of £3m rejected for him before and he had eligidly told Izzy he was keen.

Absolutely no chance Blackburn are getting £25m for him with a year left on his contract and there's no way Fulham are paying that in the championship. West Ham maybe.

Howe knows he will arrive with the onus on him to make a host of emblematic signings. He is believed to want to be able to press the button on a trio of transfer deals at the earliest possible opportunity. It is, after all, a mere nine weeks till Celtic face the opening leg of their second round Champions League qualifier.

I reckon that’s the biggest pile of * I’ve read yet about him.

I won’t believe a single word until he’s sat beside McKay with a microphone shoved in his face.

I think josh king and steve cook might be 2 of our 1st signings. It would be good business to get both in on free transfers.

I see Sydney van hooijdonk contract expires next month......might be worth a punt given his young age, worth developing??? GL reporting would he be worth a punt for us....

Low risk signing in my eyes, will be fairly low wages and a low development fee. We need depth there so I'd be all for it. Has experience out on left wing as well as CF

If he'd want to come is another question though

Agree with this given the turnover in the striker department I think getting a young player who can challenge for the first team would be a good bet, the likes of Van Hooijdonk or Kyle Joseph that has been linked previously fit that profile.

I would also like us to bring in an experienced striker on a bosman if possible Josh King seems to be the obvious one if Howe arrives and then pay a decent fee for a Edouard replacement.

Speaking of keepers I saw a rumour online that Howe wants Anthony White as new GK coach

Robby Brady has been released by Burnley, he would be a quality signing
