Because at this stage they are probably holding off replacing him until right before season ticket renewals are due, so that there is a massive sense of relief and optimism for the coming season and everyone signs up again.

If we appoint somene now and there isn't a marked improvement in the team straight away any optimism starts to drain away, along with supporters renewing.

Imagine, we are practically done with Jan window, signed * all, linked with * all, all the while we could have had a bew manager in, maybe two new players, just to help offer just a little excitement to fans and help try and end the season perhaps within a baw hair of the huns after the utter * show Lennon put on.

But nooooooooo.... Board just happy to * away any good faith fans had left, keep Lennon in the job, see huns go 23 points ahead and sign absolutely no * at all.

Seems like Lennon wants sacked so he can get a payday from his boss, seems like Lawwell wants sackes so he can get a payday from his boss, DD..... * knows, wouldn't be surprised if he ended up * selling to sone two bit conglomerate who then destroy the identity of the club more so than what we've witnessed in recent years.

With these * in the boardroom I wouldn't be shocked if he is still in the dugout next season

Valuable time is being wasted as we continue to limp on with the current set up, if it's left until the summer then there will be way too much work to be done in time for the new season, the rebuild has to begin right now, we canny even sign a player ffs because the manager is not gonna be there next season, it's a ridiculous situation.

Aye only had a couple of dealings with him and he seems a good guy and is currently the only form of communication from the support to the club which is in itself is shocking if anyone deserves a bonus this year it's him

id say your probably right that that is their thinking but its gonna take a really big name to get people onside ,they could of got away with someone with a lesser reputation had they done it months ago ,jack ross and the like simply wont do

It’s the year 2026, Neil lennon has just watched rangers do 5 in a row. Scott brown plays his 1000th game for Celtic. And Gavin strachan has become the first cyborg robot football assistant

Are they waiting until after the transfer window shuts so they have an opportunity for excuse for not signing a player under this current regime?

I very much doubt it is going to be someone like Jack Ross, nor is it going to be a big name. I'm fully expecting they will go down a similar route as with Ronny, someone with a bit of success on the continent that most of us have never heard of. They won't be instantly dismissed as crap, as no one knows anything about them, and supporters seem more likely to give a foreign manager a bit more leeway, once they are in, than someone they have seen underperforming up here or down south.

Cynical, but there you go, that's how I see their thought process on this.

Hopefully yes - frankly I'd rather sign nobody than another Lennon/Lawwell project. It's encouraging in as much as it would indicate that there will be a new manager (at some point) and they don't him stuck with a player he doesn't want who only joined in Jan.

It's hardly going to make a big difference this season, the league is lost and I couldn't care less about the Scottish cup.

I agree - I think if they do a Ronny and have a press conference where Lennon says he's leaving at the end of the season - it's wasting everyone's time.

I'm not a season ticket holder but I'm not spending another penny on the club (Celtic TV, merchandise etc) until I know who the manager will be and have a fair idea of what this "restructure of football operation" entails.

I wouldn't put it past these ****s to announce Lenny is leaving and, after the majority of renewals are in, announce Jack Ross with Lawwell still in place.

I actually can't BELIEVE he has survived thus far.

Im starting to cross over into "* this *" territory. ie: not ONE more penny from me. Not one more minute watching a game or checking the news.

This * is ACTUALLY givibg me anxiety. To the point where I'm lying in bed awake worrying about * us happening to us.

Even if they said, lenny is here till the summer and then we will make some changes it would not be so bad.But this dragging along not knowing * all watching us struggle to hold onto 2nd is not on. Club like no other....aye * right it is,no other club would support a manager 23 points behind.....he must be great at golf. Thanks DD.

Absolutely zero planning or foresight from the club. They got drunk on patting themselves on the back winning the league at a canter each year. Trying to fluke Europe on the cheap. This season was about doing the 10iar in the cheapest way possible. They gambled, a manager that would have our squad playing probably would have had enough for sevco but having a team devoid of tactics, ideas and confidence we were always doomed to fail . I just can't believe Lennon's there. He won't walk and they won't pay .
