im not attacking naylor, he has been good for us, but as with gary caldwell, last season was poor.... sure they both did well at the end of the season, but we as a club need people to play well all year round! i would like to see naylor replaced, just cos his heart isn't in it he wants a move back down south. also i would like to see mark wilson not play for us again, he is too easilly bullied off the ball and shows nothing to me that says "first team" caldwell and mick can both be liabilities sometimes, but caldwell more so, so tamas in for him, ....lets hope he signs hail hail!

 

thing about naylor is i think his first season he was running on pure adrenaline, you notice he got worse towards the end of his first season


hard to think 1 season ago he was contender for player of the year and an england call up

 

True, we can't risk our defence having another bad season, its not worth the gamble, they must be replaced with people who want to wear the hoops and can preform to our level!

 

To be fair to Naylor, i can't think of one player who didn't get worse towards the end of that season. It's hard to keep the adrenaline running when there's nothing to play for.

 

this must be the longest transfer saga in history, wish this romanian fuckpig would make his mind up, its doing my * in!! we need a natural left back in to replace naylor r keep on his toes maybe then he,ll rediscover his form,if he doesnt get rid in january.

Why is everyone complaining about the defence? Dont get me wrong if we can get someone in at the right price and the right deal for the club I am all for it, but we had the best defence last year in the SPL.

I think this coming season is the season for us to break our duck away from home in the Champs league.

 

Our defence was gash in Europe last season mate but i agree quality does not come cheap bottom line is a 3 million pound defender any better than what we have because if we where to sell Caldwell or Mick we would be looking for at least 3 million for each of them we cant afford a 10 million pound centre half to make our defence that much better

BEST DEFENCE IN THE SPL... that means nothing to any team in the champions leauge, if we want to play with the big teams then comparing our defence to rangers, hibs, st mirren and the like wont cut it.

our defence is pish, hinkle is good imo, but nah we need to change alot if we are gonna challange teams with the defences of barca, real, chelski, man utd, milan, and the rest of the last 16 likelys, then we will comparativly have the worse defence

Neither of our so called Centre backs are good enough for Champs league

 

The fact is as long as our defence is good enough for the league then I am happy. We can still continue to get to the last 16 signing players of this standard so who is to say they will not progress and excell.

Im sorry if you are not happy with the squad that the manager puts out on the first game or in any champs league game then you should change your team.

You keep going on about the defence. So that means our strikers and midfielders are good enough to play in the champs league. We probably only have 4 maybe five players capable of doing well in the champs league. But who cares winning the league for me is the ultimate.

Last 16 will do for a club who makes very little money every year and winning the league too.

But what we do is play with great heart and to the death at home which gives us the last 16. Who is to say with a good draw and a bit of luck we will not progress further. But if you all think we should be buying new players just for europe your crazy. We just do not pocess that kind of money

 

Our defence was better than Rangers defence which would suggest that our problems lay further forward.

"a bit of good luck" i belive Celtic is a Major club, and at Major clubs they improve on there players when certain players fail to meet expectations
