I'm not too sure that he would, Arsenal appears to be a poisonous environment at the moment. Brendan has a degree of control at Leicester that he would not get at Arsenal and I can't see him putting himself in a position to fail. if he gets top four at Leicester he is a genius but if he only finishes eighth people will cut him slack. He is too canny to put it on the line at Arsenal.

The team Arsenal have he could take to the top 4. If it becomes apparent that it could look bad on him he’ll bail.

I’m surprised that he’s still doing that well with Leicester, considering Congerton’s in charge of the scouting. It’ll collapse soon. We’re still feeling the effects of his ‘expertise’, as are Sunderland

Apparently transfers at Leicester are done by "committee". No one person can over ride the group & apparently Rodgers asks for a position not a specific player. I'm not sure how much power Congerton had at Celtic but he is not the one & only at Leicester.

    He wouldn't take arsenal, I don't think.

Arsenal seem run in a similar fashion to us at times. Not sure how much of a control freak their CEO is compared to lawwell, but I imagine the restraints at arsenal are similar to us and if the stories are true about his fall out with lawwell, would he really put himself in that sort of position again so soon?
He will have the pick of any England job that comes up in the next 2 years, he's done a good job at Leicester and re-established his stock.
Chelsea, arsenal, spurs, either Manchester's would all take him.

Newcastle if they finally get their big money takeover and want to go all out would be interested as well and Rodgers with a blank cheque and a challenge would love that as well.

He was desperate for the Arsenal job before Arteta got it.

    He’d jump at it.

He had carte blanche control to donwhat he wanted to ‘revolutionise’ our scouting

He * destroyed the good work we’d put in up till that point

Hate how he left us but Liewell has to take some blame too. He had a reputation and a career to keep. Flying atm.

Essentially I don't hate the guy as much as I did say, last year, but Lawell or not he still walked out on us mid-season with plenty of games still to play, with our next two games being away to Hearts and Hibs.

He's found a system at Leicester that works, and that useless * Congerton only needs to scout the English markets now so it's hard for him to * up.

The thing is, it was obvious season 2018/2019 was going to be his last anyway. He was clearly fed up, the disastrous summer transfer window of 2018 set the wheels in motion. He was noticeably agitated in interviews and openly questioning the board's ambition. The red flags were all there.

I think this ill feeling filtered down to the squad as we had a terrible start that year. We only scored 7 goals in our first 7 league games and we got knocked out of the qualifiers by Athens.

If we had got his targets in, he might not have stayed for 10, but we'd almost certainly have a better squad that season and would probably have been in the CL - propelling us even further ahead financially as that would have been 3 consecutive CL appearances.

Although Leicester were always going to be interested, I have little doubt that even if he wanted to see the season out, Lawwell wouldn't have gone out of his way to persuade him to stay. More likely he'd have wanted him gone and probably encouraged him as such.

He left when he did because Leicester promised Lawwell an extra £3 million in compensation if he let BR go before the end of the season. BR wanted to see the season out, but Lawwell wanted shot of him ASAP, and a wee sweetener from Leicester was enough to make it happen.

It's Lawwell's fault that Rodgers left, and ultimately has us in this complete shitshow we find ourselves.

    That's bollocks..

Rodgers was off like a shot, he definitely didn't want to see the season out..

He could have been backed better but he also made some atrocious signings..

But, Rodgers leaving us in February is 100% down to him.. He only cares about himself and we were a vessel for his ego and to further his career.

    * him.
