We've dropped him already this season and still looked terrible not one player has progressed this season. The problem is not the players we have a good squad

Has been a great player for us, a real modern day hero. But it’s painfully obvious that his time is up. He should have been replaced two seasons ago with John McGinn. He’s hindering our ability to play good football.

This is sad :54: People having a go at Broony. When all's said and done Lenny's the boss. You can imagine what he would say if Broony were to suddenly tell him he's not up to the game anymore. Does anyone realistically believe that's how it should pan out? Lenny is the manager and it's down to him.

Sorry Jeannie but I think this is way off. Why shouldn’t it pan out like that? It’s the elephant in the room. It’s not like Brown is 29 and packing it in. Lennon can hardly be surprised if Brown walks in on Monday and says he’s lost it.

Put it this way: if I’m Lennon and Brown doesn’t walk in at 10am and say he’s lost it, I call him in at 11am and tell him he’s lost it.

If Lennon is stupid enough to force Brown to play I think Brown has enough influence to get Lennon removed pretty quickly.

There’s also better leaders in the squad now.

Compare Ajer to Brown these days and there’s no doubt who’s a better leader currently.

You give Ajer the armband and Hibs don’t score that rebounded penalty.

I don't know anybody who would go in and tell the boss they're not up to their job anymore.

How many footballers do you know? It’s very different from a normal job.

Edit: Also, plenty of people can go into their job and say they’re struggling with their duties.

I’m not having a go at him personally. He’s a true Celtic great and nobody can take that away from him but right now we have a title to win and he’s * miles off it.

Lennon should have dropped Brown weeks ago.. months ago even. If it gets to the stage where Brown has to tell Lennon to drop him that in itself is reason enough to sack Lennon.. never mind the fact we’ve failed to beat Aberdeen, Rangers, Slavia Prague and Hibs all in the last month or two.

I just imagine that it would be an extremely difficult thing to do. Besides as Slaw says it really is down to the manager and if he's managing he should be the one to tell Broony.

Thinking Scott Brown is going to walk in and say I'm done gaffer drop me is just mental. Guys like Brown don't get to be captain of Celtic for so long and win so many trophies without being totally single minded and relentless in their outlook. He's never going to think that, he'll want to fight back and if he has a bad performance he'll want to come out and rectify it the next week. So you can't blame Brown for keeping on playing. It's the nature of these types of characters. It's up to Lennon to drop him and the same can be said for Lawell in regards to Lennon.

I agree Brown won’t walk in and say he’s done.

But how can I not blame Brown for not admitting he’s done when he’s clearly done? That seems like a perfectly legitimate * thing to criticise someone for.

Obviously Lennon should be dropping him, but that doesn’t get Brown off the hook. Let’s not pretend he’s just another player. He’s supposed to be a leader, been here for 12 years. If the manager won’t do it get over yourself and have the conversation for the good of the team.

Because he won't think he's done. It's up to management to take him out the team, not Scott Brown.
