I'm running amd 1800x and 16gb, SSD and a 1050ti( low mid range gpu from 4 or 5 years ago) and it literally just smashed it.

Good stuff mate cheers, only reason ive not bought it in ages, i know it was gutsy when you expanded the database on the old fms, didnt want to buy it then take a year to finish a season lol.

Admittedly, I only loaded 5 countries and went with the basic database size for this beta save, but even that was much faster and smoother than the previous few games when I've done it this way.

You'll manage it fine though. I'd say youll be doing a season in 10-14hrs of gameplay (less if you really take little interest outside of matches).
I'm normally able to hit a season out in a week, 2 tops when I'm dedicating some time to it.

Yeah specially in reserves far too many.
I'm trying not to make too many changes, but I've went for a 4312 which helps satisfy the abundance of midfielders we have. But leaves me lost with what to do with Forrest and Ely.

Yeah, that's the big danger.
I'm just glad I've got a fair few days off over the next 4 weeks.


Try the old loading larger database without loading the league trick.

Do a customer database size, and add players from each continent, it loads the players without loading the league's and thus not needing to process the matches and results.
Cuts down loading times massively.

Anyone made any good signings so far? I’ve bought Viktor Fischer, Thiago Almada and Igor Rabello.

Sold Griffiths, Rogic and Klimala, and terminated Duffy’s loan

 

When did you manage to terminate his loan? I'm just finished first game of the season and can't get shot of the donkey. His stats are howling in the game as well.

So far not signed anyone though. Pavlovic is agreed, awaiting an appeal on a work permit.
No one has been sold either, but I have loaned dembele and Johnston out to Killie and livi (or was it Inverness?) Can't mind who went where.

A couple of days after my first league game - he got injured in training, was only going to be out for 6 weeks but the ‘terminate loan’ button was at the bottom of the screen so jumped at the chance to press it! I don’t think it was because of his injury as I checked Moi and could have terminated his loan too. I’m at end of August now so will check if terminate option is still there next time I play it.

Pavlovic was good last year but thought he’d be out of reach after his transfer, will check him out.

Signed Tochi Chukwuani now too - 17, looks a big talent

 

I'll need to keep an eye on the loans, maybe it just needs to be after 30 days or something?

Yeah I though Pavlovic would be out of reach as well, but 4.5mill was accepted, at first he refused to talk, but a week later after speaking to his agent (a nice touch in this year's game) he seemed willing. Just need the appeal to go through.

It could be, really not sure why it became an option I wasn’t expecting it thought I was stuck with him. Freed up plenty wages which helped to extend Ajer and Eddie’s contracts to 2024.

Will need to try that with agents. There’s a couple of really good players I’ve scouted that just aren’t interested. Campuzano from Boca looks like an ideal replacement for Brown but has no interest in joining. Might change if I reach CL. Got revenge on Ferencvaros in round 2

 

was looking at that tochi chukwuani as well. Think il wait until the full game to buy him.

ive brought in Wilshire and Renato Santos on frees. Sold Jullien for £10 million to burnley or brighton cant remember. Bought Souttar and Rodrigo Tarin to replace him. Played Turnbull the first two league games and he has scored 4 goals. Will rotate him and wilshire i think. 3 in the middle will be mcgregor sitting then turnbull and ntcham infront of him.

 

With the loans you just need to wait for the English/Italian transfer windows to open then you can terminate.

Andrea Papetti looks like a must buy even if he's a bit costly at 5m, only 17 but he's ready to go straight into the starting line up alongside Ajer. Nicolo Rovella for 2.9m also seems like the perfect long term replacement for Broony. Both 5 star potential.

Quite a few players with contracts ending in December also worth a look. Cristian Casseres, Nico Lopez, Lucas Rodriguez, Diego Rossi and Erik Botheim all worth offering contracts too.

 

Turnbull has had a good start to the game for me as well, stats look very good considering his limited game time over the course of the last 12-18 months.

 

Done my usual first window squad overhaul to try and make sure I don’t miss out on any key targets.

Are people satisfied with the match engine? Very much reluctant to buy the game after some awful things on FM 20.
