The narrative surrounding this game is that we have been hit by injuries/pullouts and are not at our best, while the huns are peaking and should be favourites for the game.

I think that kind of narrative suits us down to the ground. A couple of times when they’ve arguably been the better side against us I think they caught us cold. We were widely expected to be the much better team and when they met us toe to toe it shocked us a bit. This time feels different.. like they’re expected to win (for reasons unknown to myself).

I think that allows our boys the freedom to go out and prove why they are the better team. We’ve always performed better as underdogs in Europe and this game will have a similar feel. I expect us to run out 2 goal winners.

 

Quite nervous to be honest. I think we need to come out full pelt and take it to them, no prisoners, at first at least. Even with our players out, the only way they'll beat us is if they overpower us in the middle from the get go and I'm hoping Lennon sees this. We've been too negative in the big games we've played so far and I think if we go in with the set up or attitude of Ferencvaros for example, it's not going to be a good day for us in my opinion.

If we go out at a high pace and take it straight to them to get a grip of the game, that's how we'll win, as the difference in quality will show as the game goes on. Need to be quick to every ball to begin with especially though, as they're going to be at us full blast from the start. HH

It is what it is with the missing players,still think it will work in our favour.

Getting out of here for a few days before the tsunami of negativity starts: just to say I don't think you can blame Lenny for this. With the players available, this had to be expected.
