Gaulds fall from grace was his own fault in my opinion totally different type of football he should have stayed at Dundee Utd or at least held out for club down south

Lewis Morgan should never have been and in the end we only signed him to make a profit on him

McKay Steven showed talent but in the end didn’t have the mentality to make it here

Doesn't immediately improve the starting lineup you're right. But I'd say he definitely improves the squad and also has room to develop. It's also always important to have a healthy number of Scottish lads in the squad.

What’s that got to do with anything?

If you want a team full of Scotsmen then that’s what the national team’s for.

Nationality shouldn’t really have anything to do with it.

It's not essential, but it's always nice to have a strong Scottish contingent.

Same way I'm sure most teams would like to have a strong group of players from whichever country they're from, provided the players are good enough. Not exactly the most outlandish thought.

So you don't think it's healthy for a Scottish club to have a good healthy number of Scottish players at its core? Look at the English Prem, you have teams playing full 11's without 1 single English player, do you think thats healthy?

You would be happy with a complete bunch of foreign players who will probably have an idea of what it's like to play for Celtic but not nearly as much as a Scottish lad brought up in Scotland? Its vital for the dressing room and team cohesion that we have a number of lads be that Scottish or Irish that understand Celtic and the importance of playing for the club and pass that onto lads who aint from the UK or Ireland, it will naturally come to Scottish lads due to them understanding how big the club are with being born in Scotland. Look at the current core group of the club, Brown, McGregor, Forrest, Christie, all know what it means to play for the club and you consistently hear of the good examples they all set. Not saying a foreign lad couldn't do that but I really don't see the issue of having a healthy amount of Scottish players, as long as they are good enough.

Also why's it not a good thing that the best Scottish players play for the best Scottish club? He said healthy amount of players not the vast majority, really do see why this would be an issue to someone?

Doesn’t even come into for me.

I just find it strange as it’s usually the same clowns who come away with stuff like: “if his name was Seamus O'Timmy (or something other stereotype) you would want us to sign him.” That want a “strong contingent of Scots”.

They’s be as well going a getting a season ticket at hampden to watch the SFA’s team.

@HTG You have said the Sporting manager didnt fancy him and put him out on loan to 'teams who didnt play him'. So the Sporting manager and all the managers of the teams he was put out on loan to deemed him not good enough, yet you claim he is a class act? So you've got it right and all these managers are wrong? Interesting.
