Disappointing mate. If he can’t get on a bench of 9 subs then we have to get him out on loan to another side in the league where he is getting regular minutes.

He’s too good a talent to be rotting away not getting a chance.

Aye hope we don't just * leave him in reserves for 6 month, lads played in League 1 so is used to the physicality of mens football, lets get him loaned out to someone in our league he's more than good enough.

I'm sure he's actually played in the championship mate. We signed him the summer Bolton got relegated

Played in the championship, I actually think the guy may have * his career coming to us. He should have been put straight back on loan last season.

A loan to someone like Huns may work for everyone..

Just needs to be patient. Robertson and Dembele on the bench today.

canny see many of the youngsters getting much of a chance this season cause of the 10,unfortunate but understandable i guess... defo need to sort loans in the meantime. Dembele being the exception due to everything around him

I'm calling for him to get in the side at left back/wing back just now as I think he'd possibly be our best bet..

Decent pace. Gets stuck in. Composed. Excellent delivery..

He's a very good midfielder though and I'm thinking if we get a left back in....why don't we try him in the Broony position? Why no?

Aye, he was impressive in pre-season. Good on the ball and a bit of dig about him.

    Good shout.

Extremely comfortable on the ball mate. Positive like McGregor and gets about well. Isn't afraid to mix it..

I love Broony and always will but for game's like yesterday....he's pretty pointless and offers fuckall in an attacking sense. Someone like Connell and McGregor in the middle...offer far more..

I would be all for giving this guy a shot as our deepest mid. Be interested to see how it would function with 2 of Ntcham/Soro/McGregor either side of him.

Aye, Connell was pinging some lovely diagonals up to the strikers in the friendly at Parkhead. That's a dimension that Broony doesn't have to his game.

If we're countering in games like yesterday then that's how you can catch them out of shape. Hopefully lessons learned as that was completely unacceptable, right across the board.

    Yep..

The reaction isn't over the top either for me. It was one of the worst performances I've seen from a Celtic side in a long long time. The fact it was the second game in in what we hope is a historic 10, is even more criminal..

    I was thinking this yesterday.

He was superb when he came on in the friendly against Hibs. What I like about him is he is always looking to play the ball forward quickly rather than the backwards and sideways stuff which doesn’t work in a game like yesterday.

He doesn’t just lump it forward though he has the quality to make the pass. Connell isn’t afraid to get stuck in either like Brown.

They don’t call him the ‘Scouse Pirlo’ for nothing :84:

Everything everyone’s said is true. But it means * all when Lenny won’t even name him on a 9 man bench. Are the pre season games just to get him in the shop window, don’t get it.

It's a balancing act that Lennon has play.

Rogic and Ntcham have had limited game time and will be wanting to play, Soro was signed as a longer-term replacement for DM and will be keen to play and then you have Robertson & Henderson also trying to break through from the academy.

He needs to try do what's best for the team and also keep all the above onside.

He certainly showed in flashes that he's worth giving a chance in the near future though, I hope he gets it and kicks on.

Totally get what you’re saying mate but of all them ntcham and Connell looked best in pre season so surely deserve the bench places?
