On James, I was forgetting about needing a work permit but I would view him as alternative to Bayo. I am concerned we have Griffiths with question marks about his availability, Klimala looking like a development project and Bayo constantly injured and looking very raw as alternatives or partners for Eddy depending on formation. I think we definitely need another option upfront.

Is there any standout CB or LB in the league at present? I feel we really need players for both positions.

 

Bodø/Glimt's LB Fredrik Bjørkan is an exciting prospect. 21 yo. Attacking minded and not afraid to get stuck in. 3 assists to his name this season. His positional abilities is already better than Bolingoli.

Rosenborg's CB Gustav Valsvik has been solid so far this season. Almost 2 m high, he's winning most duels in the box. A good enough passer on the ball, but not as good as Ajer and Jullien. He's 27, so not much sell on value.

Stabæk's CB Andreas Hanche-Olsen is worth looking out for. 23 yo. Not a towering CB, but his passing abilities is among the best in the league for a CB, if not the best. Can play everywhere in the back line. Wouldn't be surprised if he's off to a better league this transfer window.

Aa a backup player he wouldn't be the worst. Cheap. Has a lot of pace and does create from both flanks..

Would still need another creative type though with more about them than Boyle..
