It is not possible to simply be “whelmed”

you have to either be over or under

You CAN actually be ‘whelmed’... Its the root form of the expression...

    ARCHAIC
    verb
past tense: whelmed; past participle: whelmed
    1. engulf, submerge, or bury.
"a swimmer whelmed in a raging storm"
      • well up or flow.
"the brook whelmed up from its source"

Like disgruntled .... I used to think that ‘gruntled’ wasn’t a word... but it is.

Probably because I’ve not really lived in Scotland for a long time.... but only just found out that Nicola Sturgeon has a husband.

Id always assumed she subscribed to a different ‘lifestyle’. :fear:

And if she did/does the problem would be what. The only problem I can see would be for anyone ignorant and small minded enough to be bothered about it, having said that who really cares about those who think like that anyway.

I wasn’t stating that I would have had a problem with it or be bothered by it myself....

Only YOU has mentioned a ‘problem’..
...so turn down the sensitivity on your ‘right-on pc alarm ‘ and away and grind your self-righteous axe somewhere else please.

Your OTT reactions to posts might say more about your own insecurities rather than anyone else’s ?! :34:

That my point about your ‘self-righteousness’...

You seem to have appointed yourself the Talk Celtic moderator for what YOU consider (through your own misguided interpretation of other people’s posts) to be contrary to your oversensitive pc radar.

You questioned my post as me having a ‘problem’ ... steered it towards suggesting ‘insecurities’ .. and now it’s ‘ignorance’.

Get off your high horse for a bit and have a look and think about your own assumptions and responses to people.

    Then * off !

Yeah that's what I've been using it for. Being at home all the time I was going through all the normal milk quick with my coffee.

Thought we would try this, nope. Boak.

Coffee whitener might be a shout. I’ve tried Nestle Coffee-mate before. It’s not the same as milk obviously, but it does the job and lasts a lot longer.
