To have a DM with the ability to burst forward like he looks to do at pace will totally change our game.

As hard as it is to say, Brown stifles our attacking side.

 

He also makes up for slack defending though

Does a lot of things well, but there has to come a stage where we try and progress and get another option in.

If we can get a DM in who can do Brown like defensive work and significantly improve the midfields ability to get up the park, we could see the team become a different animal. I'm not worried about finding someone who can "make up for slack defending" - There are loads of those players to be found. It's having someone step up and fill Browns obvious leadership abilities, that'll be the tough part.

 

This is why i don't buy into the whole Mcgregor as the future captain talk. I know there's more than being a "shouter" to organise a side on the park etc, but i just don't see him as captain material but thats going off topic.

 

Could just be Lawwell asking for confidentiality until it gets finalised. You’d think we’d have at least spoke to him if he’s started following the club on insta and what not.

He's perhaps not the destroyer like CDM i was wanting, infact he reminds me a lot of Broony when he was younger, but he looks amazing online (i know ) I hope we get him.

 

I know I seen someone praising Christie’s deliveries and I thought to myself * couldn’t have seen - Collins, thommo, lubo or Naka!

 

He does have the same style Broony but has a good burst of pace & also looks as if he has a good pass on him.

 

This isn’t a title run in for any of the 3 young guys not a chance!

 

He's our best and has the odd good one's but it shows how lacking we are in that department in my opinion..
