Because the rate this lad is progressing is frightening.

 

Not surprising he is attracting interest, a look at our team shows that it is studded with talent throughout. I think some of the best business we could do in January is to come out of the window without losing any first team players. At least a lot of our talent is on long contracts so we will get compensated for anyone we do lose but I'd rather have players on the field than pounds in the bank.

 

Sometimes they want to leave. If that's the case you can be better off letting them leave. I would imagine other players will be being lined up as they will expect offers in January or May.

If he was trying to force a move I'd rather sell him to anyone else in England for 50 grand less than that weasels mob though..

Yeah quality players from Celtic have low market values. One good season in epl and Ajer doubles his market value. A player half his quality sadly costs £15m to 20m

 

It would make no sense to have a player as talented as Benkovic, not to play him and then to buy Ajer. They paid £12m for him.

When Benkovic was here I thought he was a better out and out defender than Ajer, better in the air and more physical and a bit stronger but i thought Ajer was better on the ball, probably due to his midfield days.

but since then Ajer has really kicked on, except from a slight dip in form a month or so ago. Benkovic has been in Leicesters under 23 squad since. Bizarre that he hasnt went back out on loan.

 

Looks like Benko is well out of picture down south, a cheeky 4M bid in Jan??

If I was Ajer though, I'd not be swayed by money. How much game time is he going to get? Look at Benko.

Big money and Benkovic would soften the blow, if he did go to them. Still think Benkovic has a very high ceiling.

They pulled the pin on a loan move when Maguire left. Don't think anyone realised how good Soyuncu would be. Evans, Soyuncu, Morgan are there only other options, probably a selfish but necessary decision to keep him around.

 

£10-15m plus Benkovic would be a fair deal if he did want to leave.

 

These type of stories seem to get leaked to the press with the intent of unsettling the player. Ajer would probably not get too much game time at Leicester so I'm not sure how keen he would be on the move.
