With all of the many false prophets there have been though his time here it’s been the wee quiet winger that’s stood the test of loyalty through time.

The club have been fantastic to him and for him and he’s been repaying us all for years and years now.

A class act and a club legend.

JAMES FORREST is priceless to Celtic according to his manager Neil Lennon, but if the winger was available on the open market, he reckons you could start the bidding at £25m.

Forrest scored Celtic's second goal in their 2-0 win over St Mirren to cap off a memorable day for him, having signed a four-year extension to his contract earlier in the afternoon.

    "James was brilliant," Lennon said.

"We gave him a new deal and I don't care how much money we pay...he's priceless to me.

"What would he cost? A goalscoring winger who has been doing it consistently for 10 years and won treble Player of the Year awards.

"You'd start the bidding at £25m. That's what I would ask for anyway.

"But he's not going anywhere - we've got him secure and he's happy.

"I'm sure there has been interest in him but James has never wanted to leave.

"To have him his pleasing and that will settle him down and hopefully he will continue with his consistency.

"He is inventive and that's him got ten goals already this season. That's an amazing return.

"You saw his quality, scored a brilliant goal and was exceptional.

"James is in his peak years and is part of a front four that can be devastating when they turn it on."

Feel like I'm coming across a negative * tonight but he was doing it again..

Eddy was furious with him once or twice tonight for his pure greed and running in to trouble/trying to beat half a team..

He has been quite bad for it recently. I don't understand it, I love a nice assist for someone, especially when you are putting it on a plate for them.

Aye it's came out of nowhere. Last 2 games he's been ridiculously greedy.

Especially when you see Elyounoussi laying it off whenever he can....whilst still being deadly his self..

Eddy was pointing and going daft with him tonight..

Aye i said as much that I'm probably sounding like that but only saying how I saw it..

Great assist for the first but if it easy and a case of him laying it off or going solo and greedy tonight...he took the latter everytime..

Been praising plenty other's like Broony and Elyounoussi though..

He’s clearly been asked to be more selfish, as have the rest of our midfielders and wingers.

I have no problems with Jamesy, he’ll still show up when required.

He had 2 that annoyed me but I think he’s been told to go it solo and have a bit more faith in his ability to get on the scoresheet. It looks like he’s adapting just now.

Needs to take tips off Eddy in how to be selfless, we could of had another 3 easily if he had just passed the ball rather than trying to beat everyone and score.

There’s times to be greedy and there’s times to be a good teammate.
