I don't post often, but tackles like this one really get to me. If it plays out just a little differently, these are the sort of tackles that can do enough damage to end someones career. It has no place in the game.

Bad tackle but surprised it got to you so much that you felt the need to make a rare post.

Could tell in his face he knew he * up, shouldn’t be dragged into making those kinda tackles, let your ability do the talking Christie.

It’s easily done though, could tell he was getting annoyed with the pitch and constant kicks & pushes. So annoying when he’s been in such brilliant form.

This whole 'its no like him' is a bit nonsense, he loves flying in to tackles and is somewhat aggressive. He's no shrinking violet

Because when you watch it happen and it permanently impacts somebody physically it makes you appreciate the damage you can do.

Think I’m right in saying the guy scored against us in the second half.
    What permanent impact ffs?

Aye i like his dig but he's threatened that a few time's..

The way he plays and his all action style...he was always likely to get a red at some point. Still a very poor challenge though..

Not in this case. Other times witnessing in person similar tackles.

Exactly, it was a matter of time. His whole game is built around his power, pressure, aggression etc, compared to technique and finesse.

Christie is very much capable of playing with finesse and technique.

The reason his game inclusion has become so influential for us in recent months is because of the natural dig and aggression that was lacking - especially in the link between midfield and forward.

    * it, it was a bad tackle. No one was properly hurted, and he has been shown a straight red, pretty sure it'll be a 3 match ban, therefore gives Rogic a chance to claim back that position.

Aye there was a home game a few weeks back he could’ve easily been sent off.

Cost us the game today, only positive is he was needing a break, especially since he's away on international, so Ntcham starting the next two games is fine.

Right by the main stand mate was it?

Think he knew it and was picking the boy up after if I remember right..

I mean compared to others. McGregor, Rogic and Ntcham for example have a bit more guile and technique about them. Christie is all about running and setting the pace.
Hoping we get a fit and motivated Rogic for a run now.

That's PART of the game that he's added to his CV.

Have you seen some of Christie's goals this season pal? Some of them have more technique than Zidane on performance enhancers.

He's more an Armstrong type than an Ntcham or Rogic, imo anyway. His main asset by far is his engine and athleticism.
