Sometimes I almost feel it was a bit unfair on Brendan Rodgers to be followed by Neil Lennon.

 

Maybe im a bit old to have idols or heroes but I make no apologies for saying Neil Lennon is an inspirational figure for me, for many reasons.

Must get credit for a solid away performance in which we were the better team.
I really thought we gave as good as we got in an evenly contested match, which was refreshing to see considering our recent history away in europe.
We looked on it from the start and pressed high up the pitch and gave a good account of ourselves.
Lennon always builds a good team and i think we will only become more solid as the season goes on.
I also think we have a good mixture of strength and athleticism in defence and a nice balance in the midfield.

 

He knows how to get a team up for the big occasion. Hero.

 

That's how you set up a team away in Europe. He's doing a great job
