    Anthony Ralston has joined St Johnstone on a season-long loan from Celtic.

    The right-back was knocked down the pecking order by the arrival of Moritz Bauer and has left in search of first team football.

    Ralston, who previously spent time on loan with Dundee United, arrives in Perth as replacement for Richard Foster.

    Foster was let to by Tommy Wright following a bust up, later signing for Ross County.

    At 20 there is plenty of time to improve. Cant under estimate the amount a player improves when he is starting and getting the guts of 90 mins every week

    Young Ajer went out on loan and got regular game time & experience at the right level

    I really hope Ralston does the same and kicks on. He has plenty of heart and i think the manager there will make sure he learns the defensive side. Go show us what you can do (and if you get the chance to play against Jones please make sure you give him our regards )

    Good luck to him, hope he gets regular game time. I don't think he's as bad as some make out, but he's definitely not up to standard for us at this point in his career, possibly not ever. He should be able to make a decent career for himself in the game though, I think, and this can only help him to that end.
