    He’s obviously been frozen out at Stoke to force him off the wage bill. I will say it’s good to know that he isn’t part of the team that’s rooted to the bottom of the Championship.

    I'm not judging him til he's played in hoops, as it should be. Some of the more 'underwhelming' signings in our history have been the best ones. Plus the option to buy means there's pretty much zero risk involved.

    Have to be honest not got a Scoobie doo how good or bad this guy is. Trouble with such signings is that everyone knows we have money to spend and unless it's a well known player and we are splashing X £ millions a lot of negativity starts.

    I'm not ready to call the guy a dud until he's had a chance to show what he can do. Just because a players career has stuttered at one club, or isn't that well known doesn't mean he's automatically *.

    What annoys me most though is that season after season we seem to leave any signings until the last minute. Especially in the areas we've known for a long time should have been resolved well in advance of the season starting. But that is probably best left for another thread.

    Regardless of the circumstances, he’s here.
    He could’ve been frozen out fir a number of reasons. Look at sincy here and shved. Doesn’t mean he’s a bad player. We got toljan last year from Dortmund and he was gash. Thank * it was a loan you all cried. Had we bought him, folk would have moaned why did we buy this * player and waste umpteen million in the process.
    So, until he plays a few games for us and we get a decent read of his game, only then is judgement fair.
    If he sets the heather on fire, great to have the option to buy. If not, we haven’t wasted millions on a dud.

    I actually think that will change with Bayo in and around the goalmouth. Our problem for a while is not having a striker sniffing for balls whipped in. We always seemed dependent on big defenders getting on the end.

    Yeah, Huddersfield coaches were talking about it on a FM documentary I watched last week. Real Betis have used it too. It’s pretty commonly used, but they did maintain that if you’re interested in a player you still need to go watch them.
