Kieran Tierney

Discussion in 'Celtic Chat' started by Mr. Slippyfist, Aug 1, 2015.

Its the best in the world currently, this could change next season but no chance its close to 4th.

Also playing against a far better standard every week, with the best coaches, facilities, stadiums etc. will certainly improve you. Its mental to think it won't.

  1. He's not leaving.

  2. Premier League is back to being best league in the world imo. Wasn't during the Ronaldo-Messi years at Real & Barca, but with the increase in money over the last 2 years, it's back to #1. Had all 4 European finalists last year.

  3. Its a lot more than playing Crystal Palace though isn’t it.

  4. Unfortunately we can’t change the league we play in. Nobody actually wants Tierney to leave, you realise that?

  5. Strange ain’t it though

  6. I'm not disputing that, but he was being talked down in other leagues. It's more about the perception of our league

  7. Yeah, I think he's off for sure.

  8. Actually I think there are some that wouldn't be against seeing him at a 'big' club in the EPL tbh.

  9. Not all that much more. Bar the odd game against the likes of Man City or Liverpool, it's totally soulless.

If they played their supposed 'Super Sunday' games in my back garden, I wouldn't open the curtains for half the games that are on.

  10. What does the amount of football you watch got to do with KT’s possible ambitions to play in a bigger league?

  11. 2/10 - must do better.

  12. I get you Che but I don't pay much attention to the perception of clowns down South.

Guys that were probably heehawing at Madison on loan to Aberdeen, giving it the 'farmers league' and 'my nan could score goals up there' patter, will be the same ones fawning over him now at Leicester City.

I despise everything about the EPL. The concentration of money, the pricing out of traditional working class fanbases, Oligarchs and Sheikh playthings, soulless games with no atmosphere, half-and-half scarves, everyone with their camera phone out any time a player on the pitch comes near the touch-line, the arrogance of their players, managers and media.

The whole thing is an abomination.

  13. Arsenal are a club on the slide. They're reported to have a 40million budget this season, that's loose change down there and their squad is miles off Liverpool, City etc. He won't challenge for titles or the UCL. Realistically he's looking at a top 6 scrap and a potential domestic cup run. So what's the big draw another than the cash & how much does he really need. 25k a week for 12years at us wont see him poor. He gives a up a heck of a lot if he leaves us. Some things money can't buy.

  14. Agree with all of that, but i still enjoy MOTD. :67:

  15. They're about to get £75mil for Aubameyang and reinvest all of it, though. Brings their budget to over £100mil.

  16. To reiterate, my comparison was quantitative, not qualitative.

Of course, the Scottish League Cup is a major honour: by definition, all senior top-tier association tournaments are major honours.

We play for four major honours each season.

Leicester City's prospects of winning the Premier League were infinitesimal. How could they have won it without playing for it?

  17. They'll need to spend most of that to replace his goals alone. Even if they managed to get a new ST to fill the void for 50 million. The remainder still wouldn't get them anywhere near the league. Their squad needs major surgery back to front, has done for years. Arsenal won't be back at the top of the English game for a long time to come.

  18. A better League, playing against better players.

If you had the chance to at least treble yer wages what would you do ?

You're looking at it from a supporters point of view, it's understandable but whole different ball game if the offer is on the table for you and yer family to consider ?

  19. What are you talking about... it'll be 20m for Tierney and then 30m for Moreles and they'll still have 50 to * into the wind... the Record said so exclusively!!!
