    Martin O'Neill has lost his job at Nottingham Forest. A number of key players have increasingly turned against him. It's reached the top of the club and I'm told he's been sacked, five months since taking job #NFFC

    That makes sense because if it was purely results based it would be harsh. Maybe his style of management just isn’t suited to modern footballers anymore.

    His Celtic team will always be my favourite.

    The memories from his period as manager are unreal. Still get all warm and fuzzy thinking about them now.

    There was a time I used to think he was destined to manage one of the really big clubs in England and turn them into a force. Jesus, that seems a long time ago now. Football has significantly moved on and MON clearly hasn't. In fact, some of the stories about his approach to management, even with us - the lack of serious preparation, tactical analysis or in-depth training - make me shudder. And yet there's point of me that would love to see him back here in some capacity :fear:

    Hate situations like this. Nottingham Forrest should have been backing oneil over the players. Hope oneil finds new work and does well. A man of his standing shouldn't be treated like this. Good luck in whatever your next venture is Martin!

    Yep. Almost exactly two years to the day ( June 27th 2017) since they announced their last French manager. He made it until January 2018.

    Man management was one of his strengths.

    There does seem to have been a bit of a sea change in management in England these days. The power players have is unprecedented.

    Whether these changes are mostly for good or ill, I genuinely don't know.
