Far from being stronger at the end of this transfer window i can see us being weaker. Boyata gone, Ntcham wanting away and the club seemingly happy to sell, the scouting department bereft of quality targets(if that list is anything to go by) and a board that looks unwilling to loosen the purse strings(unless it's for lighting or a training ground). We have a large squad but little quality, the squad being filled with players who were never what we needed, the money wasted on Hayes, Hendry, Morgan, Kouassi and co could have bought 1 or even 2 players of class had we had a decent scouting system. When i hear the old "so and so coming back will be like having a new player" line i always worry, it's normally reserved for about halfway/two-thirds through the transfer window when we still haven't signed anyone but it's put in an early appearance this year. Is it possible to be sick of a season before it's even started?

Yer right mate. If only we had won a treble treble or were going for 9 in a row.

I admit it's strange to be so pessemistic after all we've won recently but the team has regressed in quality if not in trophies won and after the appointment of NL and seeing our list of transfer targets i can't help think we're gonna f**k up sooner rather than later. Hope I'm wrong but that's how i feel.

I really hope that Lenny has asked for assurances regarding our spending budget before he agreed to become manager.

My fear was that he would be so greatful for the job and as a result be a puppet for the Board.

We'll find out over the coming weeks, but even the Board would concede that money has to be spent this window, a lot of work needs to be done ahead of the new season, we cannot keep relying on the same players over and over.

We also have the issue of gettin rid of as much deadwood as possible.

Do we even have a head of recruitment replacement brought in yet? An LC replacement?

Window been open 35 hours and 33 minutes and not one player in the door but 10 out the door that’s good for starters for me!

So if you add them 10 to January window passed and you can add Dembele to that list and we only added Bayo

So that money banked from the Rat plus Demeble and all them wages now off the books, add in a new manager plus going for 10 in a row.

Surely the board need to be looking at adding 15m or so on that back line.

Some of the defences we have fielded in recent champions league qualifiers have been embarrassing. This year we have only Ajer Jozo and KT, and they don't have the most impressive injury records.

Said it in another thread Belfast with £29m from Dembele and Rodgers and his team then £1m for Congerton.

Then over £100k a week in management expenditure.

Add that to the wages of the 10 who are leaving I reckon we have cut wage bill by circa 20%

What do people reckon wage wise we where paying the above per week? That’s my guess around £104k a week add that to the £18k a week Compper is on it’s a fair whack off wage bill at 31st May.

    Old Management team £110k week
Old head of recruitment £25k week
    Old players £104k week

£239k a week off wage bill or £12.4m per season! Wage bill £60m in 2017/18 and most of this year but down 23% now!

Surely to * Congerton wasn't on anywhere near 25k a week!

Head of Recruitment at Celtic came from EPL and Bundesliga would think £15k to £25k is realistic tbh those amounts by me are speculative thought just for clarity
