Doesn't seem all that interested for us I would let him go

You could sign a few new players for the price we could get for him...no brainer, in my opinion: sell.

I would say sell him if a decent offer comes in as he doesn't seem all that interested in being here in my opinion. However I'm not confident the money would be put back into the transfer kitty. On his day he is a top player for us, just don't think he wants to be here.

This is the real problem with any players we sell now. We'll rake it in, fail to acquire new players meaning we reduce the overall quality of the squad, and consequently fail to qualify for the CL.

Then have to say that money we got for the player covers the loss of that revenue. Stupid * *.

Although he has class,he is too inconsistent and doesn't seem to have the heart to compete when needed.

    This.

And let's be honest, lately we've had far more bad days than good.

    Aye there's no in between..

He's genuinely horrific when he isn't at it, which is far too often..

If he had the odd 9 but was around 6/7 for quite a few other's then none of us would be having this discussion..

It's due to his attitude and lack of desire that he's been putting in below 5 mark showings all too often and has to go if the right offer comes in..

    I’d get him gone...

If he’s not twigged what it means to play for Celtic by now he’s not going to get it at all.

I have no doubt that most/all income from him will go in the club coffers... but if it prevents a Forest or CalMac being punted then it’s ‘reluctantly acceptable’.

Part of me wanting to gamble to see that happen as for sure there is a player there but can't help agreeing with Jeannie and Seosamh, he looks so uninterested and we could really do with the money.

Exactly my thoughts. Didn’t look like he even celebrated the winning goal in the Scottish Cup final.

    Could we?

In theory you punt him for £6-9m and you’ll see £1-1.5m invested in a replacement. The Celtic way :shamrock:

Even with the cup on the pitch. Edouard at the front loving it and all jumping up and down and he was just behind the background doing nothing..

He mentally checked out ages ago for me..

    * sake, it's Saturday morning, stop with the negativity :56::56:

We need to strengthen the squad so aye we could do with the money cause the player is using up resources.

Plus even if we did only reinvest £1.5m it doesn't mean we shouldn't sell him, and well that £1.5 could be spent on extending Dembele's contract.

That’s what you have to weigh up I think. The guys undoubtedly got quality and class, consistency is the problem. Do you sell him and replace him with a player of less quality who will be more consistent

This is the gamble but as McGuire has pointed out, a guy like that is not what we want around the dressing room or training pitch because it's almost like he is a walking persona of some of our performances.

I'm not blaming him for that, I do rate the guy but if he's not into it then there's not a lot any manager can do.

It is complex though and if Lenny wants him to stay I can understand it as he can be a great motivator. Ntcham could be a great team player but it would be an incredible turn around in attitude if he showed up every morning with positive intent.

Could be he just doesn't like living here. He was happy when Dembele was here I think? Plus a lot of players like him know we are a selling club so maybe he's just showing signs that he thinks he's shown the world enough to warrant a move now.

Also regarding the figure of £1.5m if it were true if we could add that onto any prospective fee for a decent defender I'd be all for it. Our midfield is not in as bad a shape as our defence.
