Can also try high fat and protein very low carb on rest days , low fat high protein and medium carbs on training days.

Means on rest days you get lean sausages , fried eggs and bacon , burgers with cheese no bun etc and you wont miss carbs as much imo

What ever you find best works for you tbh

Are you trying to lose weight or gain weight?

There really is no need to go over 0.8g/1g of protein per pounds of LEAN body mass if you are trying to loose weight.

Crazy high protein only really serves a purpose if there is a great deal of muscle mass to lose.

Doing that joe wicks 90 day plan at the moment. £60 for the plan and you get a tailored workout and meal plan, obviously having to buy the food yourself. Really liking it so far, hiit workout 4-5x per week, once a day. Food is class and all natural. I don’t eat meat so went for the veggie one.

Highly recommend it to anyone wanting to get fit, toned and enjoy their food whilst doing it.

PS He’s an annoying * of a man though

For those days when you have that voice in the back of your head just to sack the day off.

diDnT put muscle on for 2 months there, but started doing weights 3 times instead of 4 or 5 times a week, its started to go back on,which is good.Think i was overtraining or was burning to many calories.

Just nearing end of week 3, believe it’s more weight training in the second cycle and more carbs? Did you get good results?

If it's not changed then aye, weights and HIIT. C2 carbs with every meal which is a welcome change from C1. Yeah I lost a couple stone and put on a decent amount of muscle. Kinda loosely followed the principles from the plan for years now.

Back on keto as of yesterday.

I’m a little worried about it halting progress on my running times but will see how it goes.

I want to do it strictly (below 30g of carbs a day) but if I’m struggling badly may alter it slightly and increase carb intake to something like 80-100g the day before a long run and see how much of an impact that has.

How often are you going running?

You should look into TKD targeted ketogenic diet which is basically instead of refeed days you target carb intake around workouts.

3/4 days a week at least. Probably worth looking into then?

Ran 18k today and it was a seriously unpleasant experience.

Knocking the keto on the head this time, and gonna leave the high fat/low carbs for rest days.

Managed to do weights every night this week so far and a run on Monday. Downloaded a tabata workout timer app aswell so done 4 minutes of that last night and this morning, just Burpees and abs stuff. Trying to shift a wee bit of belly fat I've developed which is annoying me. Gonna go another run tonight aswell, well that's the plan anyway.

Been struggling to get back into a routine since leaving Edinburgh. Went to the gym yesterday and was struggling to get out more than 5reps of 26kg incline dumbell press, when previously I could manage 6-8reps of 32kg. Got a couple holidays coming up over the next few weeks. Once they're out the way I'm upping my calorie and carb intake significantly and hitting it hard. Really need to get back to training in the morning before work.

Did a 5k in 20.29 this evening, that’s my quickest so far. Be buzzing when I get it below 20!

Hopefully in the next week or two.

Done My first run in a couple weeks tonight after my holiday. Sweating out the beer and burgers.

Not too bad considering but my Achilles was sore as *.
Need to get it sorted ASAP, it’s seriously holding me back.
