50 Titles

I've been buzzing about this all day mate. If that happens tonight, I'll be * for the rest of the week

 

50 in a row is gonna be sweet

 

While every title since Murray bought them is clearly tainted, there's only 5 that should be discounted due to known clear cheating, the 5 EBT titles.

So after this season is over that's 50-48.5 to us.

 

Not that I agree with it, but some do ......... For example, Juventus has 3 stars to represent 30 titles, and Bayern Munich have 4 stars to represent their 20 titles (Bundesliga do stars at 3, 5, 10, 20, 30 titles).

 

I'm sorry but that's just ridiculous. Some of the people here simply see everything through green & white glasses. It's not 50 to 48.5 to us. It's 54-50 to them. They have NOT been officially stripped so all this talk is pure bs and just pathetic in my eyes.

I hate to be so forward and I do not mean to trigger anyone here but this is the thing that triggers me. No one but our fans seem to acknowledge the version of "discounted titles" and them being a new club. They have the same name, the same stadium and the same history. They have 54 titles and we are behind on that matter.

You think people in Europe when they check the official statistics of both clubs will think that Celtic has more titles? No. It's literally only us. It really triggers me. What's to be gained from presenting the situation in a false state? Some pride? Everyone here is extremely proud of our club and I don't think we need to makes such bs statements in order to make ourselves feel better. We all know in which departments we are WAAAY bigger. Titles is not one, though. Not yet.

There. Now you can call me a hun in disguise which I see here often when someone talks realistically about something.

 

With all the talk of 8 in a row and the 10 it has kind of slipped under the radar that we will be soon lifting our 50th league title. A truly amazing accomplishment for the club.

 

Bottom line is those 5 EBT season they broke rules and haven't been punished, anyone that's aware of the situation knows those titles should be stripped. Same with the newco, they are a new club, anyone who knows about knows that it is so.

I am not concerned by what people far away in the world reading Wikipedia make of it. We know how it is, the huns know how it is as much as they deny it.

And you seem to be making the hun accusation against yourself, I don't care if you are not, and certainly wouldn't accuse you of being one.

I'd prefer the 5 wee ones kept together similar to theirs for the banter.

So then whenever you see one of those rockets with them tattoo'd you can say "just noticed your tattoo mate, you a Celtic fan as well".

 

Aye. Because we've won much more important things, I'd say that we get to set the tone of what we choose to display for our regalia. My personal perspective is that we should keep our club's branding clean, uncluttered, and powerful. Let our results speak for themselves.

 

Always feel proud that our 1 star means 10 times more than their 5 stars.

Just wondering,who had stars above the badge on their shirts first,us or them?

 

I cannot see us getting over the line,the Huns are still hot favourites to win the title this year,even more so if and when we beat Livingstone 6-0 today!

 

Think may have been them in 2004 after winning 50 titles. Then us in 2007 for the 40th anniversary but could be wrong.

 

I know that this whole thing is very tongue in cheek, but the thing that annoys me is that we absolutely SHOULD be extremely proud of the 50 titles, and SHOULD celebrate it like it's an epic achievement, because it is. * the Huns with THEIR tainted titles, * the SPFL/media with THEIR catching up bullshit. We ACTUALLY earned those titles and should be rightly proud of them.

Still don't want 5 pishy little stars on the top though...
