Not sure. Wouldn't be unhappy if Lenny got it again. Think managing Celtic and all that surrounds it would fry Martinez's brain

I'm just really not enthused by Lenny, I love the guy and he's one of my heroes from his first stint here, but I want to feel a buzz about the place again like we had when Rodgers came in.

Nothing about the thought of Lennon getting the job excites me at this stage.

We should be going all out for Rose but I think we’ll go for Lennon or Moyes and the fans will lap it up(generally meaning the older in the support).

We’ve got £40m in the bank and just got another £9m for the rat.

Spend it on a top DOF and a manager that will get us playing attacking, aggressive, pressing football that the fans will get behind.

I would like to see this as well, surely with all his experience we could tap up players playing in madsaive clubs choking to play each week, best way forward in Europe yid think.

I would like Henke as a coach in some form should have brought him in right after retiring though as by now he would be management material.

He's been managing for 6 years or so now and still doesn't look like management material. Being a coach here wouldn't change that.

Yeah not now best he'll be is a decent assistant manager/ striker coach even as a scout actually think a scout would be his best position purely looking for young Strikers around that part of the world. He could definitely teach our attackers a lot aswell which is why I want him around. We have a great goalkeeping coach in Woods but no decent attacking coach.

He should have been nowhere near us. When he came in though wasn't there genuine excitement? I remember people talking about how good he was.

Dunno who we'll end up with in all honesty.

I tell ye what though, I'm slowly coming around to the idea that we should try for Mourinho (as much as that makes me throw up in my mouth a wee bit even at the thought of it).

    ON THE MOVE?
Odds of Rafa Benitez to Celtic slashed from 20/1 to 5/1 within 24 hours

Ladbrokes have cut their odds of the Newcastle United boss becoming the Hoops' next permanent manager after seeing a flood of bets on the potential switch

LADBROKES have slashed their odds on Rafa Benitez becoming Celtic’s next manager in the last 24 hours.

The bookies rated the Spaniard’s chances of being named the Hoops‘ next permanent boss at 20/1 yesterday.

But after a flood of bets, those odds were reduced to 10/1 by yesterday afternoon and cut down to 5/1 this morning.

It comes after days of speculation among Celtic fans that Benitez could head for Parkhead to take over from Neil Lennon this summer.

And the bookies have been left confused by the latest movement in the market.

Alex Apati of Ladbrokes said: “We’re scratching our heads as to where this sudden interest has come from, but punters seem to think Rafa might make the shock move north of the border this summer.”

Benitez started out in management in Spain back in the 1990s, and eventually led Valencia to two La Liga titles and a UEFA Cup victory in 2004.

He then took charge of Liverpool that summer, before leading them to Champions League glory after a dramatic final against AC Milan in 2005.

The 58-year-old went on to win a UEFA Super Cup and FA Cup before leaving Anfield in 2010.

Since then, Benitez has spent time in charge of Inter Milan, Chelsea, Napoli and Real Madrid.

But he returned to England in 2016 to take charge of Newcastle United and guided them back to the Premier League after spending a season in the Championship.

The Magpies ensured their top flight survival last season and are currently seven points above the relegation zone.

Ladbrokes’ latest odds on next permanent Celtic boss
    Neil Lennon 10/11

    Roberto Martinex 4/1

    Rafa Benitez 5/1

    Marco Rose 6/1

    David Moyes 7/1

    David Wagner 10/1

    Steve Clarke 10/1

    Alex Neil 12/1

    Derek McInnes 12/1

    Henrik Larsson 12/1

would be a real coup if we could get benitez in. Love lenny and if he secures the treble treble, I think he will get the job, but rafa or rose would be excellent appointments from the board.

    Benitez odds have been slashed.

Looks like hes had enough of newcastle and is stalling on a new contract.

We'd certainly have to offer him a * of wage. Maybe all of the snakes 9m for a 2/3 year contract.

    Cant see it though
