McGuire - u know me well - :celt_2:. In all seriousness I hope I'm completely wrong. Lets look at the bigger picture here. It's an absolute disgrace that we are even in this current situation with 3 teams right up beside us. We need a few changes to the current team. Too many players have gone off the boil.

Could we be making another bid for Scott McKenna? He's still on BR's radar. :71:

I mind a thread EXACTLY like this in ronny's last season, when aberdeen pushed us.

The club recognized the stagnation that had set in and remedied it.

Theres an added panic to this one as its sevco not the sheep who are up our holes.

But imagine for a one second your peter lawell, or even a board member. If we lose this title... it over. History will not be kind and celtic support will never forgive it.

    We got this covered.

My actual concern is the CL next season and whether we have the players in place to get back to the groups where we belong.

    Chill

Well, if rumours are true and Hendry's about to go out on loan, maybe Brendan thinks we will need someone to fill that crucial utterly-*-Scottish-CB-bench-warming position.

Boyata, Gamboa, Lustig, Benyu, Commper, Bitton, etc etc

Do you need a diagram drawn? We have a bunch of spineless * * stealing a wage and not enough passionate to fight for the jersey, a penny pinching board and a manager with a more than questionable signing record

It’s not the hun signing grandads I’m worried about - it’s the fact that we are full of deadwood that will take about 3-5 transfer windows to clear.

We just need to sign a new goalkeeper because Gordon’s distribution is not quite Manuel Neur is it, two CBS, a man RB, a striker to replace Moussa.

    Get it * done Lawell

If the canter the league crew are so confident we will stroll the league then i assume you would be happy ending the window with no fresh faces? I mean why bother if we are just gonny canter it eh?

Who is saying we'll win the league at a canter? Wise up and look at the bigger picture. We've a game in hand and we play 2nd bottom and 3rd bottom team's next. We are overdue a break. It's been a long and hard campaign for our bhoys already. Players like Rogic, who is arguably our best player, have not been 100%...our captain is walking injured...

Confidence will return, we'll get fitness up, and come back strong. Keep the faith.

    I voted no

Either way, I think we will win the league and it will closer then it really should be because we are falling to keep the team fresh.

I think if we wanted to go to the 3-5-2 system that looked so promising early on in the season then we aren't far away from achieving that. As we then take out the need for a new RB. A striker ready for the first team and perhaps a loan like Weah would be ideal and then a new CB on a perm, maybe two depending on Boyata.

I know it sounds silly but if we want to continue with the 4-5-1 like style, it's going to take a lot more to solve that one.

Our chances of winning the league are ZERO

Everytime someone raises a concern about the league its usually brushed aside with a “we will win at a canter”.

When i raised concerns after we got beat at rugby park, i was called a panty wetter and told to see where we were come Christmas.

Now as it stands we are level on points (yes with game in hand) the huns even with just Defoe and Davis are stronger coming out the window already, i dont have faith that we will be stronger come end of January based on several previous windows, possibly weaker depending who goes.

What concerns me is if we are level on points with the squads as is, and they strengthen and we weaken, it could swing it and thats not even taking the “helping hand” into account.

We really need to loosen the purse strings and buy at least 2 players (RB and CB) of genuine quality, with the rest coming in the summer.

If our last 12 months form continues then we will lose the league. We need players that can make the team better and we need them now

We have been utterly abysmal, injury ravaged to the point where 5 or 6 of our best players have been out consistently and have had away games after Europa games most weeks. Yet still sit on top.
We will win this league comfortably. The current squad, once KT, Rogic, Eddy are back fit has enough to win it. With reinforcements we will be more than fine.

The huns will drop points in their first few games back ( Sheep, Killie,, Livi all away ) . We have straight forward home games , a 5 or 6 point gap will open up by Feb and we can all calm the * down.

We should be worrying. We've regressed gradually since the invincible season as our competitors are improving. Boyata might be away, we lack quality all over the pitch, Brown doesn't look the same player, we've got one striker, one LB, a squad full of wage collectors.

Our board is full of Tory money men who would rather see a quality bank balance than quality on the park.
