He is very effective facing a man up from out wide. Not a striker.

Poor performance but enough of this pish talking about "if he's got a future with us". The guy is our record signing and is what 20/21? He can be inconcistent and his decision making is a bit off sometimes but realistically he's a class player and as good a striker we could really get at that age with that much potential.

Much more comfortable running with the ball against a defender than running into space to get on the end of a pass in the box.

Frustrating as * at times, he sleeps through games and plays with a lazy, half assed looking style. Looks for the 1-2 on the edge of the box far too much too, it’s too predictable and easy to defend against.

He’s off form and we’re playing him through it because we didn’t buy anyone else in the summer

Needs a boot up the * and an order to not drop back outside the box. Learning to be a static target man would be good for him.

For 9m I want a player that can get a ball under control in less than 6 touches.

Never a striker in a million years, another with a chronic lack of urgency.
Hes either at the edge of the box or strolling about, cant believe we spent 9m on him tbh.

The bhoy is 19 and still learning and developing. If we had other strikers he would be dipping in and out of the team and not left with the expectation and pressure of having to lead the line by himself. He would benefit greatly from having an experienced striker to partner him and talk him through games. A strikers game is a tough gig on any day but for a 19 year old who has landed responsibilities beyond him is not productive or ideal. He will learn from this experience but we won’t benefit immediately. We need to look more at how we set up today and Thursday and the experience in the team who let us down. He is an age where he needs to see those around him fighting with spirit and energy. Then he sparks into it.

How many times does he stop on the edge of the box and just run the ball into the nearest defender, happens so often now.

Then when we have Morgan and Johnstone on causing problems and hassling their defenders he was subbed off so they had no one to pass too.

don't understand Rodgers subbing him today, you're chasing 2 goals and you sub the only striker we have, madness even if he wasnt very good.

Has loads of potential but he needs to get the finger out. Can't keep using the 'he's still young' excuse to gloss over the fact he struggles to control the ball.

Saw someone earlier saying he's like our version of Lukaku. Actually quite apt. Both are like the gif of the horse tripping over the ball.

Just not good enough most of the time he's on the park.....I just don't see the amazing effort he's supposed to be putting in off the ball......he's been playing football for many years and as a kid you know you're being greedy and not passing.....you know you're going into a huff when you don't get the ball....you know when you can't be arsed.....etc...etc.....it should have all been knocked out of him long before he turned pro......I understand people talking about strikers being greedy by nature but if Griff was doing this as much as Eddy he'd be getting slaughtered.....stop giving this guy a pass mark regardless of his input......we're not seeing a 9 million pound player even if some on here insist that he's in the wrong position.....a player can be seen by everyone not just the supporters who think their insight into football is way superior to us lesser mortals.

.....But we need him now not sometime in the future.....9mil for potential is a bit rich for my thinking.

He turns 21 in a month. Not trying to nitpick, but he's almost a full two years older than you're making him out to be and that matters a lot at this level.

The French boys attitudes are shocking to be honest, said it before. So laid back and nonchalant, getting fed up to * of it.

    He couldn't give a *..

    Greedy..

How many touches does he want or think he can get away with around the box..

Done nothing again. So many game's where it isn't laid on a plate to him at home and he struggles..

Barely attacks the 6 yard box. Totally unforgivable..

Their backline was Whittaker Efe 19 year old Porteous and Stevenson..

Let that backline sink in and we didn't trouble them whatsoever..
