Brendan Fraudgers!

Discussion in 'World Football' started by Mr. Slippyfist, May 20, 2016.

  1. I'm a Brendanist so i thank St Brendan for coming home to Brendan the * out of the unbelievers.

Seriously tho all sorts of * try to take a pop at Rodgers for transfers and squad issues and whatever, but all Brendan cares about is making Celtic the best football team he can and he does it exceptionally.

Expect theres a few members on here who won't show their faces for a couple of weeks. Brendan and the bhoys keep on breaking records while the haters can only go on like a broken record.

  2. Good video and also captures the only minute of the first half when they managed to get out of their own half.

  4. Better back the man in Jan..

  5. I agree. We're always told that January is an important window, for bedding in players for our CL qualifying campaign. After our disappointments in the window just gone, we need to make a statement in January, in my opinion.

For me, the priority is still the right back position.

  6. When was the last time that we had a manager with his ability, on and off the field? The way he has been treated this window shows to me the mentality and ambition of our club. Decide between yourselves who’s to blame, but I think if it happens again he could think, well why bother ? Imho....

  7. Tbh the last two windows have been brutal, his mind may already be made up..

  8. You reap what you sow ..........

  9. He will see out 5 years same as MON brings us to 10inarow unless he loses a league wich without sounding arrogant unlikely given the position were in.

Still a young manager then he can go onto his next job Immortalised.

  10. The position we are in is hardly as strong as it could be, and if our next couple of windows are as bad as the last one, we could lose ground. We need to back him and he needs to start reworking the back line.

  11. What cos the huns make 15 signings is supposed to get ppl worried every season ?
Well if you believe the media spinners.

Still by far the strongest squad for Spl and settled winners so its pretty hard to make too many changes , we could have added more that window no doubt but hey we still signed a player for 9m and sold 2 for 30m what other club in spl is working in that kind of financial scene ?

  13. I never said we weren’t the best team in the SPL, but we could be even better than we are now and we could’ve built off a position of strength and instead, we just stood still, or regressed if anything.

We lost Armstrong, Roberts, and Dembele, and really didn’t replace any of them. We brought in millions and didn’t spend any of it outside of resigning a player we had on loan.

We had the finances available to add 2-3 quality signings and by the end of the window, we signed 2 free transfers and 2 loans. We didn’t address our defensive issues in time to save our CL aspirations and I think it’s safe to say that it bit us even further when Dembele wanted to go.

We need to greatly improve our approach to the market this January - has nothing to do with what any other Scottish team does.

  14. There's no doubt January will be our most important window in years. By then we'll need, without players leaving, a new CB, a new RB, a new ST, and if we include players leaving we'll need another CB to replace boyata and potentially another CM to replace Ntcham (who i think will stay until next summer, but there's always a chance). Would also like us to shift most of the deadwood (Allan, Gamboa, De Vries, Compper, Hendry, Simunovic, Christie, Ralston, Hayes). I still think a DOF should be brought in to help Rodgers, whilst also sacking Lee Congerton. If even half of what i stated happens i will be happy enough going into the summer.

  15. That's some record, does anyone know the longest unbeaten run, he must be getting close now.

  16. Found this in the Guardian

So, if we avoid defeat at the Ku Klux Klan arena in Dec, we'll have smashed another record.

However, Hearts hold the record in Scotland for debry wins. They went 22 unbeaten against Hibs between 89 and 94.
