Moussa Dembele

Ffs another huffy *.

Gonna be as much use as Mo Bangura now.

Not liking the route our dressing room is taking.

 

Dembele is being unprofessional. He signed a contract and was likely told that if a suitable offer came in "that suited both parties" he could go. Brendan can't win here. He's likely thought Dembele was happy to stick around just a little longer so he's not fully prepared to let him go yet. Given a few months warning he might've had time to sort something out. I put this down to the Boyata fiasco it has unsettled some of the French boys. I read somewhere yesterday Eddy was attracting interest and he's only signed a deal!

Spouting off on twitter is only making Moussa look Iike a spoilt child. I would let him go. This is a player who undoubtedly has talent but he isn't all that imo. Too injury prone and more effective when playing with Eddy. His head has got too big and he's believing his own hype.

 

Hes liked a tweet from Chris Sutton saying its aimed at Rodgers.

Should just let him go now tbh. If he’s gonna be a greeting face wee child then it’s best if he just goes. Don’t want him in dressing room, disrupting it. Instead of * on Twitter, trying to post smart * cryptic tweets out there he should tell Lyon to up the * bid and he’ll be on his way.

Agree with all of that except the he isnt all that part ... hes our best striker by far in my opinion. If going into sunday this hadnt happened , griffiths and dembele were both fit who would you rather have on the team sheet? Id take Dembele every day.
Like you say if it suits both parties he would undoubtably be away but selling our best striker on deadline day when we are clearly alot weaker than last season is just madness to me. I wish he had kept his pish off social media though ... only makes him look like a diddy.

That tweet is embarrassing

 

We can't allow our team to be bullied by anyone but leaves us in a bad situation. If aimed at Rodgers I don't think he will take this too well and can see Moussa benched. If aimed at the board then even if he's not benched I can see his head dropping badly.

We kinda have to sell him now but who the * can we bring in? This summer has been a disaster

 

Get as much money as we can for the huffy * and sell him.

 

He has go be sold today surely. His value will drop significantly after this if that's aimed at Rodgers because he will be benched. * state of our club at the moment

 

As I say it's my opinion. It wouldn't have been hard to look like a superstar in our league. I do take your point though with regard to quality but I feel consistency has been lacking with them all anyway and I wouldn't like to choose which of them I would put in to that game. It's physical and players either thrive in it or hide. Griff has something to prove in these games so who knows. If he plays on Sunday and scores we will be saying Moussa who?

These players give us one good season and it puts them in the shop window then their heads get turned. Sometimes they move on and do great and others end up sinking to obscurity. I don't think Moussa is anywhere near the finished article but he's young and full of arrogant self belief so let him crack on. We will prevail as no one man makes a team.

 

We must be signing players with the promise of allowing them to move on when a decent bid comes in and in Dembele and Boyata's cases they feel this hasn't been fulfilled.
If that's the case, surely at the time we would be saying to them that will only be the case if the bid suits the club in terms of already having cover in, having time to sort cover or the bid matching our valuation.
