  1. absolute nonsense.

shaun didn't want to leave but he had been offered a contract that was a lot smaller than the top earners at the club even though he was player of the year. he didn't go to enhance his career, he went because he deserved bigger wage than what he ws being offered, then we go and sign tommy g and give him more than what shaun wanted!

    welcome back anytime

  2. Bull! He made his bed, He can lie in it. And he had one good season then shouts form all sorts of bigger money. Sorry but for me he should have stayed and shown he was wrioth the big money he wanted. Just another player trying to hold the club to ransom. He left thinking he would be great down south but look what happened. EPL has shown him for the player he really is. Hope he stays away to *.

have you actually watched him play down south?

whens he's got a chance he's played brilliantly and in the second half of last season he looked as good as he did for us.

if you were voted employee of the year at work yet others were still getting paid more money than you for doing the same job what would you do? grin and bear it? would you *! shaun deserved more money, he wasn't asking for much compared to what others were earning and we still haven't signed an adequate replacement.

he'd walk into our team as we were carrying naka all season. what did you think when charlie nicholas came back to CP?

  3. not sure how to take the line out of your post mate but the bit about the team carrying naka is spot on

  4. cheers pal:50:

when you're replying to a message jut delete the parts of someones post that aren't relevant to your point

  5. Not sour grapes here mate, just want better than Shaun, we should be aiming a lot higher to improve the team. You think his inclusion would do that, I do not. He is a good player and yes he won Player of the year in Scotland but I'd rather have the Player of the year from another Country :50: Can't afford it though but 9th or 10th best will do.

  6. maloney was good in the year he won player of the year. he was average at best outside that year.

    stop living in the past

  7. He wasn't even a regular the following season, him and McGeady were constantly fighting it out to see who was first choice as Maloney wasn't hitting the standards he set the previous season and McGeady started the season really well.

  8. thanks for the help clagan :50:

  9. has anyone done a pole on this? just to see what everyone thinks altogether

  10. I didn't want Nicholas back CP. I don't beleive a player should return to his old stomping ground. I have been awarded employee of the month etc and yeah people were still getting paid more money but i didn't go banging down the door of my boss shouting right i want more cash just becuase i had one good year. He was doing nothing much before he had that one good season. he hasn't really been playing week in, week out down there so he can't be doing that great down there. Have seen some of his games and he looked average down there. He started beleiving his own hype. he left way too soon in his career. he could have signed a 4 year deal and still had time to go and earn big cash.

  11. A would take him back. Think hes good. He's got a good strike

I disagree mate because he has been injured very long before that one good season and giving him a big * contract would be ridiculous after only one good season and not knowing if he can play a full season without an injury. as far as I know he doesn't really earn that much more at villa than what he would have here.

but the question remains, why doesn't he play more often if he's that good? his manager doesn't seem to support the view of many maloney-fans.

  13. he was offered £22,000 here. villa gave him £24,000

thanks mate, so basically he would have had to live like a homeless in glasgow but can live like a king in birmingham, due the £2000 difference

  15. why should he be any different from any other player/ if he is good enough or better than anyone else on offer then we should buy him just like any other player.

bobby lennox left then came back and he is a true legend - trying to experience something new isnt a crime. it didnt work out so hes coming back to club at which he felt comfortable and had the best days of his career. if he doesnt perform we'll sell him same as any other player.

  16. wouldn't want to bring the past back to celtic enless it was larsson

  17. i cant be bothered writing a decent reply but i will say that i disagree with every point you made in your post mate.

    each to their own though:50:

  18. he wasn't looking a big * contract just one that would put him in lne with the top earners at the club, which is the least he deserved. the fact that he played so well after a long injury spell shows how much talent the bhoy has. we basically lost a 4 or 5 million pound player over 2 grand a week and have not signed an adequate replacement. it was a matter or prnciple as much as it was about the money. he wanted to feel like the club wanted him.

he took a while to get going down south but he really impressed during the second half of the season. MON obviously rates him or he wouldn't have signed him. he has had injuries since going down there whih have held him back a bit

  19. He can come back, but he can't be given that contract he was wanting. And what position would he play in? I can't imagine him fitting in with Aiden, although I think he's a great player.
