i dunno why hendry gets such a hard time and ajer gets off easy from some supporters ? we need experience beside ajer like * we do ajer is equally the weak link .. ajer the tadger i call him. ajer was at fault yesterday again chicken hearted defender bottom line. we dont need defenders stepping out from the back with the ball and trying to so called play football, we need * that can do the basics like bobo balde and he cant.

 

So if the CB don't step out with the ball, how long do you think they will be in the first team for somebody that will. What is it with people that don't understand players are only doing what they are told & playing the system the manager wants.

I'm not Gordon's biggest fan & want him replaced. I understand he can't do what Rodgers expects from him but is trying & won't be in the team if he just punts.

 

Except that is exactly what Brendan expects so is exactly what we need to get. Even if it isn’t what I would do myself.

get away with it spl most of the time , but anycunt presses lustig or our defense in genral panic stations set in or we gift a goal out of nothing.

 

Get rid of Rodgers then as that is the way he wants it?

 

Ajer is 3 years younger, a midfielder converted to play CB, and is still better than Hendry. He is still learning the position, hence needing an experienced player beside him, and has much more potential. That's why.

Simmer down nothing , if you concede goals as frequent as we seem to do it deflates confidence in the team and your always looking for at least 2 goals a game luckily most of the time going forward in attack we have that in us though.

 

I really should have stopped reading after “I dunno why Hendry gets such a hard time...” but the fact you think Hendry is as good as Ajer really does sum up your mental ineptitude. Away back to the players suggestion thread and get us Azpilicueta, Pique and Chiellini in, that’ll sort us out.

 

There shouldnt even be a debate between hendry and ajer both the * should be nowhere near the team bottom line , talking like a champions league team acting like a junior back there.

 

Brendan in the directors box today..Wouldn’t surprise me if he was after signing Sandler on loan from City,just signed for them from Dutch club Zwolle and City after loaning him out

 

I almost feel sorry for him. Then I remember he’s a professional footballer earning a very healthy wage playing for Celtic. Lucky *.

 

See if he scored an important winner or has some big moment soon, I'll be beyond delighted for him personally. I badly want him to come good now.

 

the point was about being a professional and not making basic mistakes.. the type of mistakes that an apprenticeship is meant to cover. Why should professional footballers continue to make mistakes that most other employers would not tolerate?

 

Ajer is twice the player Hendry is.

Like I said, I get your point. But even the most experienced footballers make mistakes, that’s why I don’t think they’re comparable.

Ajer is a level above Hendry.

However the truth is neither Hendry nor Ajer are good enough for Celtic. The fact we were trying to qualify for the Champions League with those two at the heart of the defence is scandalous.

It demonstrates real mismanagement from both Rodgers (who for the record has done a great job so far) and Lawwell (who for the record has done a truly awful job of strengthening whilst being ina position of power for the last number of years).
