Horrendous argument, why pay more than you need to?

In an increasingly difficult European environment where we are up against clubs who can spend vast amounts more than us, we need to maximise return on our investments.

An extra million on top is the equivalent of another £19k per week player for the next season.

He and we hold all the cards here..

I've always wanted him and maybe warranted £3m in the last window or one before that..

Those saying what's £1m or £2m to us, well it's still a lot of cash that can be spent on the priority positions that need strengthened..

He wants to come and Hibs need to cash in, it's just a matter of time and it's early in the window.

If we lose him to more lucrative deal in England then he never wanted it with us enough, him wanting to be here is a part of the draw of him for me..

    Valhalla Thus spoke Batistuta.

You don’t just start giving 50% more onto a transfer fee because you’ve got some money.

  8. If we are intent on signing him we should wait and sign him on a pre contract in January ,* spending money on him do we really need another central midfielder at this point.the defence and gk is where any money we have needs spent

  10. Goalkeeper is fine in my opinion we won't get better than Gordon and he is Scotland no1 for a reason , your talking about strengthening RB and CB but we have 2 players that played at world cup in those positions 60+ caps for Sweden it's going to take money to fill those and not your average RB/

Is honestly rather Bain than Gordon. I never feel good about him in goal purely because of his poxy mistakes. Maybe once each match he gives the ball away which causes a goal or a goal scoring chance

  12. exactly why we shouldn't be throwing £3million at a player who ain't any better than any of the midfielder players we have bitton is a far better player and he's 4th or 5th choice

  13. Gordon is the best at making saves over Bain and he's an overall presence, when he starts fannying about with the ball fair enough but you can't question his ability as a goalkeeper , also Bain hardly comes off his line at crosses and a little on the small side for a keeper. better than Deviries.

  14. let Brendan be the judge of that...Bitton has nothing in my opinion Kouassi is better and he can't get near.

  15. We need someone in charge of defensive recruitment and leave rodgers to sign attackers and midfielders. Night and day

  16. Pure Attacking manager it can happen neglecting defense.

  17. I always though Kennedy was "in charge" of that area, plus we have Danny McGrain as a coach still and he's one of the best defenders we've ever produced.

But aye, it really is an area of concern for us.

  18. is mcginn gonna get in ahead of brown, ntcham, mcgregor, eboue, bitton unless he's massively improved over the summer i can't see it .if he was good enough to come in and take a starting spot fair enough.£1.5million was a good offer for him with a year left we should wait until January if he wants to join some * English outfit in the meantime so what

You don't know how McGinn will do , he could flourish under Brendan's tutelage like Tierney,McGregor,Rogic,Forrest,Ntcham,,Dembele'et al.

Every signing is a gamble of sorts regardless of fee, main thing is Brendan want's him in and that's good enough for me he's earned our trust and the right to improve the squad however he sees fit.

  19. Aye he could or he could go the way of hayes, compper, musonda, benyu, dorus but either way we shouldn't be paying over the odds especially when we are well covered in that position
