We have plenty of cover in his position, especially if McGregor takes this season's form in to the next one. I'd get shot of Armstrong for a few mil and bring in a decent right back or centre back where we really do need an injection of quality.

 

Half hearted is an exaggeration. The extension was to give him more time to find a club and our benefit was we would still get a fee. Both parties would also benefit if he had a good season stimulating the interest in him with the dual benefit to us of an increased fee and a highly productive player. This bit did not go so well. I would rather we cut our losses and take what we can get for him immediately rather than prolong the situation

 

His 6 months from Dec 16 to may 17 will be his legacy. Very good player in the SPL when fit and on form. We've just not seen it in a year really. Ntcham Calmac Broony Rogic and maybe a new signing will see us through.

No Vertie i never noticed Armstrong plays for Celtic. Lol. £100 says you'll never see Stuart Armstrong in a courtroom working as a lawyer.

 

The thing is you add Forrest, Sinclair, Morgan and Christie into the midfield race and you can see we are quite strong there. Armstrong leaving is no massive loss. Sell him for £5m and bring in a high quality midfielder for maybe £8m.

 

Stick to suggesting players from the Tajik third division.

Think he will mate, good attacking direct midfield player. Granted think he's acted the * a bit over the last year or so
