Stadium Re-Development....A Good Idea? or Not?

Discussion in 'Celtic Chat' started by hiphopaddict, Dec 5, 2017.

  1. Good video ..spending 4-5m on our stadia is more than the huns will see transfers bottom line ..its also top notch for attracting a champions league final with any luck we will be in it .:62::brendy:

  2. I never even really thought about the Gladbach green lights on the ceiling, that would be decent.

I do prefer the light show style though. Bayern done it against us this season I think before the game and at HT, I remember thinking it was the bees knees - the speakers were that loud and it was like cinematic music and rumbling that you could feel the music with the lights going dark and bright etc felt like you were in the cinema.

I went to the 3 games against Ajax we had recently as well and I can't really mind them doing it but maybe its newer as we last played them 3? seasons ago. Hopefully its more Bayern style than Ajax if Ajax did have it in those games lol as I never noticed it.

  3. Any truth about us selling naming rights?

Still no mention of a coat of paint on the outside. Surely in the grand scheme of things wouldn't cost that much and would make a real difference to the aesthetic of the place.

  4. That can go straight to *.

  5. Name selling, * it doesn't bother me. But we arent desperate for the cash, selling it for 2million a season is probably not worth the potential back lash. Sell it for 15million a season and then we are on to something.

But to be honest, I've no idea what a stadium name change would generate from a sponsor.

  6. In the grand scheme of things, it doesn't really matter if we sell the naming rights to the stadium.

It'll always be referred to as either Parkhead or Celtic Park regardless.

  8. If it increases our player budget its a no brainer. Should have done it years ago.

  9. Only see it adding to european games, ,light display along with cl music could be breath taking ,then followed by players taking to the field to intro music 2001 a space odesey ,would blow your mind .

  10. Lights go out, darkness.

We use fog and smoke machines to create an atmosphere of eeriness, like something ominous is about to happen.

Thunder and lightening sound effects as the Bhoys are lining up in the tunnel.

Then the Undertaker's theme song starts to play as we enter the pitch slowly with 60,000 Tims holding up lighters.

What a scene that would be.

Real Madrid about to get their last rites.

  11. NOT. A. *. CHANCE!!!

  12. Got to love the huns tagging the state aid nutter in the Celtic posts cause he is now a structural engineer :56:

  13. Just the lightshow pish part. The roofing and new LED lights is money well spent

  14. Lights go out, undertaker music plays and a spotlight lands on johnny hayes returning from injury ready to shred Marcelos *.

  15. Upgrades to the stadium are fine. To be honest I couldn't give two * about light shows, but if it appeals and attracts others then fine.

My main interest would be how this pitch turns out and what we do on it.

  16. A bit modern footbalish for me with the lights however its what football is these days it wont be like an arsenal the atmosphere will be the same and this will add to it so and not a lot have them right now only seen akax juve bayern and arsenals soon be everywhere

  17. Ralston pointing at Ronaldo letting him know he’s getting marked out the game

  18. Seem to remember, Newcastle council changed all the signs when ashley changed the name of the stadium. Think it caused so much confusion, with people looking for st James Park, that they changed them back eventually.

  19. It’s good we’re modernising but I think it’s a load of * that some new lights will improve atmosphere or attract new fans.

You think anyone was sitting at home on a Saturday saying ‘I’d fancy a trip to that Celtic Park, but it’s simply not illuminous enough for my liking I won’t set foot in a halogen-heavy environment.
I’ll stick to Jeremy Kyle on the sofa’
