I genuinely don’t know of anything he’s done that would label him a scumbag. Don’t think he’s spoiled wither, guys from a * terribly poor background and worked his * off to get to the highest level on offer in English football. Doesn’t strike me as a guy who had everything handed to him on a silver platter.

Never used to like him much but I’ve seen a few videos of him off the pitch (interviews, videos for EA etc.) and he seems likely a nice, funny fella.

I don’t like his tattoo and, although I understand his reasoning, I don’t think it immediately portrays the message behind it. However, the media witch hunt down south is a disgrace and has been for years.

English media always seem to pick one of their players before every tournament and just write relentless negative press about them never understood it, pretty sure it was Rooney the last few times.

 

Aye and it was for Rooney criticising their fans as he left the pitch in a 2010 World Cup game and I completely support Rooney for doing it! *, awful bunch of fans. They just vent all if their aggression and bitterness onto that England team. They can't wait to tell them how unfit they are to wear the jersey, 1966 blah blah blah.

Look at the England national team fans compared to pretty much any Premier League fans. Premier League fans have a * atmosphere, but (for the big clubs at least) tend to have a very diverse crowd in terms of age and race and even gender. The atmosphere those England national team * create is toxic, that of a load of right-wing, wannabe football "hooligans" who can't actually fight for * and is almost exclusively white men aged 18-50. Can't stand the *.
