Farewell Erik you started well mate and seemed likeable but you didn’t half moan once you got dropped!

 

Not going to lie, I thought he could've went on to become a rock for us at the back but poor form and an even poorer attitude soon ended that pipe dream.

Glad to get some money back and free up some wages.

ERIK Sviatchenko has moved back to Denmark, rejoining FC Midtjylland on a permanent basis. The defender had spend the second half of the 2017/18 season with the club, helping them win the Danish title.

The 26-year-old Danish internationalist had previously spent eight years with FC Midtjylland before joining Celtic in January 2016. During his time with the Hoops, he made 63 appearances, scoring two goals, winning two league titles, two League Cups and the Scottish Cup, and he was part of the club's Invincible treble success last season.

Everyone at Celtic would like to thank Erik for his contribution to the club's success over the past two-and-a-half years, and we wish him every success in the future with FC Midtjylland.

If you’re a small centre half like him, you need to make up for it with pace and power, he had neither. No big loss.

I do like Ajer and Hendry, but that CBx2 never Heard of that player...taking the *

 

Hopefully this will be the start of clearing out the deadwood.
We have far too many players who are squad players at best .
Reduce the wage bill so we can spend on players who will improve the team instead of just coming along for the ride while drawing a large salary .

Looked a great signing at first and seemed the kind of defender we were desperately needing but unfortunately he went through a poor spell of form and was a bit of a grumpy/lazy * when it was his own form that was the reason he wasn’t playing.

Was great in his first season especially under Ronny.
