Regardless, a Catholic who supports Rangers, a club who discriminated against Catholics for over a century, has some issues IMO.

The ethos of Rangers is anti-Catholic (you may have heard about it !) so a Catholic supporting Rangers is a tad confused IMO.

I think Eastern Catholicism could still be called Roman Catholic, as they are still in communion with the Church of Rome, and recognise the Pope as their head.

They just have their own rites and traditions.

I know a couple of catholic friends who support ranger`s and sing the sash and ftp an all the rest. I just laugh at their stupitidity and ignorence of the whole thing.

My team is Celtic and always will be but i like other teams, but i couldnt support another team the way i do with celtic

I don't know mate. You can admire, or admit, that a team plays good football but you support a club. I couldn't support a club if I knew what they were about - and I know what Chelsea are about.

 

First and foremost i'm a Derry City supporter. I like to see Celtic and Liverpool do well and would cheer them on, but it wouldnt break my heart of they lost, compared to Derry.

What * me off alot is the amount of Irish people who * on the League of Ireland. They will support foreign teams like Man Utd, Liverpool, Arsenal etc.. and when you ask them do they support Derry, Drogheda, Bohs, Cork etc.. they ay no. You ask them why and they say because they are crap. How do you know you idiot you have never been to any of the games.

I dont mind people supporting teams over the world, but I have no time for people who support foreign teams but * on their local side. * me right off!!!

When celtic played United at celtic park in the champions league I was down the pub with a few of my mates who are united fans! The pub was 50 50 with jerseys but no agro! when naka scored and celtic won the whole pub seemed fairly happy, the united fans knew theyd still qualify and were happy to see celtic go through!

as much as i like to see less support towards the premiership in ireland you cant blame most people! Its the irish media aswell the "irish" sun,mirror and star fill their back 10 pages with news about the premiership then give celtic and league of ireland about half a page! the championship transfer rumours get more coverage than the spl and league of Ireland ffs

people in scotland moan about the daily hun and i dont blame them but tbh ive often bought in Ireland because its the only way youll hear anything about the spl and celtic!

In the local nightclub one night and as often happens sing songs in the jax often get going! I heard Irish lads singing that steven gerrard song in an english accent! Putting it on to sound like the anfield faithfull and then United fans coming in and singing their piece and the lads getting wound up and aggressive...your from dublin ffs
