Brilliant performance , superb goal and lots of hope for next week . Can I just say something in praise of zenit . A lot of the time playing in Europe, we come up against dirty cheating * . Never saw any of that * tonight . I thought that they were really " nice" to play against

Great victory, easily could have been more than one which is the only disappointing part

The irony of that campaign is missed by so many. How much water is wasted in the making of beer ffs.

Another big game where McGregor goes missing, right guys?

Really good team performance, it's hard to single out one player. Thought Ajer looked totally at home from the start, a real old head on young shoulders, and Tierney was right at it tonight as well. Bit of a mention for Simunovic, too. He can't have been feeling good after last weekend, but he defended with a bit of aggression - which is what he's good at.

Brown was just always in the right place to pick up loose balls and snuff out attacks, and really calmed things down in possession. Kouassi was good as well, covered a lot of ground, pressed well and caused Zenit a lot of problems. Ntcham was really tidy on the ball, and used his body really well to keep possession.

Forrest was a good outlet and always available for a quick switch, and McGregor was great. He's just got such good awareness and uses the ball intelligently. It was also really promising to see Dembele looking back to something near his best. He bullied Zenit at times tonight. His strength and touch when holding off defenders and taking the ball in was really impressive, and his pace running in behind to stretch them caused issues as well.

I thought we just lacked a bit of spark in the final third at times, and the game needed Musonda or Sinclair to come on and run at their defence. It's frightening to think that our starting XI tonight didn't feature several of our most dangerous attacking players - Sinclair, Musonda, Rogic, Griffiths and Roberts.

Hopefully that's the shot in the arm our season needed. We took a few pumpings in the Champions League and it maybe affected confidence in the group. Tonight should prove we can be competitive at a decent level in Europe.

Clean sheet and a win, but it's just great to see Celtic playing like Celtic again.

Pleased with the performance , and remember a 1 - 0 win means any draw and we are through ( even a 2 - 1 defeat , etc , would see us progress ) . We have many good players missing , but when you look at how many youngsters were on the park , we seem to have a decent squad going forward . Still lots to be excited about this season , C'MON THE HOOPS !

Shows how far our level has risen. Easily matching these £80m teams. Its those £800m ones that are tricky :56: fucjing yesssssss

haha, was expecting this. Just in from the game great performance, can't belive id be saying we should have won by 3 or 4. Defense was excellent, just shows how much better they are with a keeper who is confident with his feet

Several outstanding performances, and you can see the team growing in confidence in Europe.

Interesting to see how Forest, McGregor and Tierney are now all vital to how the team operate.

Does anybody know the average age of the Celtic team that finished tonight's game?

Great display ,great tempo ,hard to pick a best player ,but for the goal and all round play ,mcgregor was superb ,big dembele just needed a better final ball to get a goal to make it a a perfect night for him also, team looked more tight tonight ,set up better with protection around incase of any misplaced passes,no reason why we cant go there and play like we did at city or rosenburg , we are much much sharper and that defeat will put pressure on mancini ,we have a good chance and didnt shoot ourselves in the foot giving away a gift ,that is all we ask.
Ajer was great tonight and it bodes well for the future ,Tierney was like a captain tonight ,immence and ntcham was also brilliant, his best display for us so far .
