yeah i can think of a few players being underrated, a couple being mentioned already

telfer being quite a big one as philly said, he seems to get slagged more than is deserved IMO. Or perhaps I should phrase it as, he doesn't get as much praise as I think he should. He was part of a team that got us to the last 16 after all and as far as im concerned i never seen him put a foot wrong. OK, maybe he wasn't the most gifted of footballers but I felt he always gave his all and was very professional and hardly made a mistake.

Skippy as well as someone else mentioned. OK, he might've been a hun growing up and he caused that * sunday, but when he played for us, he gave us his all and he scored some pretty important goals for us.

I think big Jan Venegoor of Hesselink wasn't fully appreciated when he was here.. Nearly £4mill spent on him but I think worth every penny. Scored some vital goals and his link up play was class.

I would say Nakamura was under rated by some folk but that's because I believe the guy was actually world class. Much in the same vein as Moravcik I would say.

Sometimes you can't see it at the time but looking back (as I have done the last few days on youtube and *) you realise we've been blessed with some pretty talented footballers in recent times

David Marshall. Unlucky that his one spell of bad form coincided with Boruc joining the club.

Efe Ambrose- Was solid in our first season and was sadly made the scapegoat for our loss to Juve even though he proabbly shouldn't have played in that game. Was superb in the group-stages that year and barely put a foot wrong domestically in his first couple of seasons.

Ki- Amazing technically, great passer and a good tempo setter. Has done far better down South arguably than Ledley and Kayal who were both rated higher up here. The Korean Alonso, what more can I say?

Samaras- "He only performed one game in about 10", so??? If that one game is away to Spartak, or against Barcelona or any CL qualifiers that we have then I'll take the * performances vs Kilmarnock, St.Mirren or whoever else we were playing. He also gave us Sammy Sunday and he's the type of player you want in Europe.

Dev said Johnson which was a banging shout. Big Wieghorst I thought was an excellent player with some touches for a big *. Just injuries I think hampered him. Same with the other big Danes..

    Simon Donnelly..

Was gutted when Kelvin Wilson left. Wasn’t sure about him at first but he really became a solid defender for us. Was outstanding the night we beat Barca.
Wish he stayed longer. Hasn’t gone great for him since he left with injuries etc. Just looked and he is without a club at the moment after leaving Rotherham. But didn’t he leave because he was missing his family?

Wakaso is one that I don’t understand why he didn’t get given more of an oppurtunity. Had always played at a decent level before joining us and was a regular in a good Ghana side.

People often overlook how many important goals JoH scored for us. People seem to remember McDonalds goals more.

Caldwell became quite reliable for the abuse he got at times

Gary Hooper. His finishing and movement was superb. Scored in big games too. He left too soon. Could have become a legend.

Similar vein, Hartley. The both of them the catalyst for a league title when Strachan swapped Crosas and Donati for that pair.

Became a different type of player at Celtic from the goal scoring attacking midfielder elsewhere.

I used to get into some arguments about him I thought he could have been good better if mc geady helped him out a bit, Thomas gravesen was one I had high hopes for ticked all the boxes and good pedigree,
